Vaughn’s jaw clenched, and he glanced at Haven for a moment with a questioning look, but he hesitantly nodded. “Just in case,” he murmured.

Vaughn reached over and dug into the glove box, taking out a few things. The first was a contacts case. He put the contacts in, his grey eyes now a strikingly vibrant hazel color. He also grabbed a pair of black framed glasses. He looked down at himself, knowing that officials knew what he tended to wear, so he tossed his suit jacket and tie into the back seat before also unbuttoning his white long sleeve, now in a white undershirt and black pants. He quickly scruffed up his neat, black hair, making it look like a bad bedhead. “Can’t go out looking like myself completely..”

Vaughn then started the car and pulled out of the parking lot, driving into town. His hands gripped the wheel tightly in an anxious manner, unsure of how to be comfortable in the silence.

Bella nodded. She sat in silence for a few minutes before asking a question that had been nagging at the back of her mind for a while. "Do you… hate me? I dunno, you seem like you don't want me around." she mumbled.

(Gotta go, will be on tomorrow..)

Vaughn’s lips tugged into a tense frown. “I don’t hate you, I don’t fully trust you either,” he responded simply, not looking at her as he said it.

(Wait, here for maybe 10 more minutes)

Vaughn bit the inside of his cheek as he drove into the bustling city, glancing around warily.

@Desvelarse pets

(Lmao okay now I gotta go)

Vaughn drove for a few more minutes before pulling into the parking lot of a small shopping center.

Vaughn stopped the truck and looked over at Bella. “Are you wanting to come in or stay here?” He asked, turning the engine off.

Vaughn nodded and got out of the car. He scruffed up his hair a bit one last time and snatched a deep blue hoodie from the back, throwing it on. He looked much more casual, almost like a normal teen and not an alleged serial killer. He began to walk across the lot to the entrance, anxiety bubbling in his stomach.
