"Right. Then how about you take mine and I could call you from the hospital phone. Do I even have my phone?" he asked starting to feel around his body for it.
"Right. Then how about you take mine and I could call you from the hospital phone. Do I even have my phone?" he asked starting to feel around his body for it.
"I dunno, love. I haven't been looking for your phone." Lucas shrugged. "Would the hospital even let you do that?"
"Well, I guess it can't be helped you're staying here with me!" he wrapped his arms around Lucas. "Then again I don't mind you here all day!"
Lucas smiled softly and relaxed, definitely relieved that he didn't have to go. "Thanks, love… I love you."
"Never leave!" Nick asked. "Well, call the school and see what they did about the bullies."
"We can have one of the nurses do it or something… I don't want to have to explain to him why I'm not there." Lucas sighed.
"I guess. Now, let's stop talking about that because right now it's you and me and nothing else." Nick felt Lcas's lips again loosing track of where they were. He pressed his lips against his and smiled.
Lucas kissed Nick back with no complaints, glad to be close to the other and truly feeling his warmth again.
“Once I get out you have to help me make you feel good okay?” He whispered and kissed down his neck.
"Mhmm…" Lucas exhaled shakily, his breath warming Nick's cheek.
"Or it can be the other way around…" he hummed. "Breathe easy love."
"I'm okay… it just gives me chills when you kiss me like that." He murmured.
Nick smirked. "Now, I know what I'm doing more often." He left hickeys on his neck in all the right places.
Lucas whined softly, tangling his fingers into Nick's hair. He swore under his breath and exhaled shakily again.
Nick then nuzzled his head in Lucas's shoulder. "How will I do tests in classes? Everythings on paper or Computer."
"I-I dunno, love… maybe orally? We'll have to talk to the teachers and the principal, probably."
"I don't want to gooo," Nick wined. "I want to stay here with you. But I had really good grades in school too……" Nick had so many different feelings inside and was so frustrated about everything.
"I know, we're not going right now. I mean at some point, love." He kissed Nick softly. "We can stay here today."
"Alright," he sighed.
The doctors came in and put an extendable stick on the bedside table. "This will help you walk and watch out for any bumps when you're alone. When you're with Lucas you don't need it."
Lucas nodded and thanked the doctor. He handed the stick to Nick so he could get a feel for it.
"You have to promise to walk with me because I trust you better than a stick," Nick laughed.
"I will, love. Don't worry." He kissed Nick's cheek. "You can hold onto me all you want."
“Good,” Nick stood up feeling where the floor was. “Can we practice?”
"If you want to." Lucas stood up and held onto his arm to stabilize him.
Nick gulped before taking a step forward only feeling darkness like it was going to engulf him. His hands started to shake as he took another step. "Okay…." he whispered to himself.
"You've got it, love. You're doing great." Lucas held tightly to one of Nick's hands and kept his shoulder touching Nick's so he could always feel him.
He nodded and started to move more steps at a time. “I can do this….am I close to the doorway?” Nick’s eyes where gray and dull and didn’t fallow his face or his movement.
"Mhmm. You're about four feet away from the door." Lucas said gently, watching Nick to make sure nothing bad could happen to him.
He nodded he took four steps and reached out to the door to feel if it was there. Nick was hesitant as he tried finding the doorknob.
"There you go, love. You got it." Lucas encouraged him, never leaving his side.
