Betty whistled and within seconds wolf's ran past Henry into the basement

”Finally.” Henry sighed in relief at seeing the pack run past him. He was strongly tempted to join them in the fight but he knew his brother was in no condition to be left alone.

" Henry go home" Betty said

”No way, Bets.” Henry said firmly. ”Ly will kill me if I leave without you. You’re lucky I’m staying with him and not heading back into the fight.”

" Henry I have my brothers go" she said

”No.” Henry refused, leaning stubbornly against the car. ”Not until your in the car with us.”

Betty sped out blood all over her " Henry leave " she said before leaning down kissing lysanders cheek

”Any sign of Marie? Or did the arrow take out her spirit?” Henry asked, not moving.

Lysander blinked tiredly at the touch and the smell of blood. His eyes were glossy and unfocused.

" she's in there so please take him.home I'll be there soon" she said

”Betty?” Lysander groaned. ”Don’t leave me.”

”I think you have your answer.” Henry shrugged. ”But I do need to get Ly some fresh blood. It’ll help him heal and I’m willing to bet that he hasn't had anything to drink while they had him here.”

Betty scoffed biting her wrist putting it to Lysanders mouth " Drink" she insisted

Out of reflex only, Lysander slowly started to drink.

”Not what I had in mind!” Henry said. ”Bets, he needs more than you can give him right now. Especially if you want to keep your strength for the fight.” he warned. ”I know he told you about the last time he went a month without.”

" I know but this will help him for now" she said using her other hand to stroke his hair

Henry sighed, running a hand through his hair. ”Yeah, it’ll help.” he agreed reluctantly.

Lysander moaned softly at the gentle touch and continued to drink, though he was going a little faster… Like a man in a desert who just found an oasis.

"it's okay " she said getting in the car putting her arm around him holding him.close

Henry was tempted to shut the car door behind her and driving them all home but he knew she would get angry if he did.

Lysander nuzzled into her embrace, his eyes still closed.

"Henry take us home" she said. Placing soft kisses over her fiance's face

”Gladly.” he smiled and shut the door before sliding into the driver's seat and driving them home.

”Betty?” Lysander sighed a little more coherent.

" hey" she said she had a cut in her eyebrow her lip and it was obvious Alec had bit her since her neck was ripped open from pulling him off

”I missed you. So much.” Lysander said softly, his voice just above a whisper.

" and here I was thinking you found another girl" she halfway teased

Lysander shook his head weakly. ”No one could ever replace you.”

She smiled gently tears rolling down her cheek

He blinked, his eyes looking a little clearer. ”You’re hurt.”

" I'm fine" she lied

”No, you’re not.” Lysander said trying to sit up but failing. ”Damn nightshade.” he muttered as he laid back down.

”You both look pretty beat up.” Henry pointed out from the driver's seat. ”Don’t worry; we're almost home.”

Suddenly Alec came running after them Betty started hyperventilating and her eyes turned yellow and canines were starting to show

”Shit.” Henry swore as he saw Alec in the rearview mirror. ”Betty, stay calm and buckle up.” he warned as he sped up.

Lysander looked at Betty in concern, having not seen her eyes turn yellow. ”What’s wrong?”

Betty gulped jumping out of the car she turned into a wolf with pure white fur

”Whoa! What the F*€#?!?!” Henry exclaimed as Betty shifted into a wolf. He was at least thankful that Ly couldn’t lift his head high enough to see out the window. ”Hey, Lysander? Do yourself a favor and don’t get Betty mad.”
