“Nothing much I think she threatened my life at some point,” she joked laughing slightly. She kept her head up looking at Lot.
“Nothing much I think she threatened my life at some point,” she joked laughing slightly. She kept her head up looking at Lot.
Lot closed their eyes and pinched the bridge of their nose, "Of course she did. She's just a tad bit overprotective."
“It’s fine I was being a bitch so it was reasonable,” she said. “Also she called me a bitch.” She laughed laughed again.
Lotus laughed with her, "Yeah. That mouth of hers can be foul at time."
Cat nodded agreeing. She licked her lips trying to figure out something else to say.
Lotus thought of something to say for her, "Do you have any siblings I need to worry about?"
“None that you need to worry about but I do have 2 brothers and a sister. One brother is in college the other you just saw he’s in our grade, and my sisters 5,” she half lied. She hoped Lotus didn’t question the fact that one her brother’ looked nothing like her and two they are the same age.
Lotus remembered the other brother and the two looked nothing alike. They weren’t about to question it so they continued on, “You keep saying you’re going to leave soon. Why is that?”
“I um I’m going to try to make sure I don’t move until after graduation but my family moves around a lot,” she half lied again. She s so used to lying but she didn’t want to lie to Lot. She also couldn’t tell her the truth not yet at least.
"Got it," Lotus nodded slightly. Up until they and their sister entered highschool their family was the same. Always on the move, but once Myrah got accepted into the art school she had so desperately wanted to go to everything changed and they stuck around the town.
Cat nodded as well. “Umm what is your favorite color?” She asked wanting to know more about Lotus but not really sure what to ask.
"I can't see color," Lotus deadpanned at first, "But I like looking at cooler tones of gray. So blues and purples according to Myrah."
Cat mentally swore. “Oh shoot sorry I I’m forgot. But that’s pretty cool,” she said looking down at the table. “What about song?”
"Song?" Lotus thought for a moment biting their lip, "I don't have a particular favorite song, but I listen to a lot of rock and roll music. What about you?"
“I guess my favorite song is sunflower but I’ve honestly been listening to a bunch of classical or just instrumental music,” she admits.
Lotus nodded with a smile, "Classical music is nice too."
She nodded. Looking up from the table. “Yeah. So what’s it like seeing in black and white? I’ve heard it’s hard to see things sometimes.”
"It can be difficult," Lotus shrugged as she glanced up at Cat sightly before looking back at the table, "But I've seen it so long I'm pretty used to it."
Cat nodded. She became silent again. Looking back down at the table.
“What’s it like seeing in color?” Lotus asked hesitantly. They had never asked the question before because they had never thought the opportunity to see in color would present itself.
“It’s well. I feel like if you’re going from not seeing any to seeing all it can be intense. You’d probably slowly get used to it though. I love art so colors are my life,” she explained.
Lotus nodded along and thought for a moment, "You enjoy art too? I mean that makes sense considering how messy my hands get sometimes."
Cat laughed slightly. “Yeah sorry. I’m not very neat,” she said smiling. Her hands still had a few stray marks.
"I've seen," Lotus laughed looking down at their hands to see the few darker marks against her pale gray skin.
Cat looked down at her own hands at then Lotus’. “I mainly got dark blue on my hands this time. I tried washing it off so it turned slightly light but it’s still there,” she said.
"What were you making?" Lotus asked curiously as to what required dark blue. They knew Myrah mainly used it for starry nights and paintings when she was sad.
“A rainy day in a city. My dark blue marker is a lot more runny than any of my other ones,” she explained.
"I see," Lotus thought for a moment, "Does that mean most of the marks on my hands is typically blue?"
“Yeah but I’m not usually as careful as I’ve been trying to be so there where other colors mixed in as well,” she explained.
Lotus looked down at their hands and began noticing the different shades, "What colors are on my hands right now?"
