Mallory noticed this, and stood up from her slouched position. She walked over to him and put a hand on his arm. "Hey, it's OK, I know that must be hard." She said softly looking up to his face.

"It's okay…you just…don't know if that thing that's trying to kill you, that thing that you're forced to kill…who they were. I just feel guilty…maybe I could find a way to help them instead of killing them…it's stupid though," He avoided eye contact "I know they're gone…she's gone." that last part almost silent

Mallory wanted to talk to him, wanted to tell him that maybe there was a way. But she couldn't, it may not be true, so why should she try and stop his negativity. She couldn't make it all just go away. "It's not stupid, I spent years trying to do something to bring my brother back, but I didn't even know where he was. He could've and could be completely dead as we speak. But I didn't care, I tried to find him. It isn't stupid Tempest, it's just a hope you get. You can't stop it."

"If this person is doing something so similar to your kind Rainbow…I wanna help stop that…I don't care if it's gonna be hard if not impossible…I at least wanna feel I did something." His thoughts were guarded and any attempt to delve into his mind would prove unsuccessful

“Finally, someone understands how terrifying this should be!” Rainbow gave an exasperated sigh, “Just imagine what it would look like as organics! Limbs melted together, like some sort of terrible creature reaching out for help!!”

“They actually still have minds…” A small voice interjected. Rainbow turned around to see Tiger solemnly standing at the entrance. “…They’re still alive…..”

"Then I can do more for your people than I could mine." Tempest's eyes were a dull grey instead of his electric blue as he spoke.

“Tiger, what are you doing here?” Rainbow asked, surprised to see her in a conversation she wasn’t meant to see.
“I could sense something was off…also I could hear you yelling.” Tiger replied before turning to Tempest. “There’s no way to help them, it’s hard to heal something that shouldn’t be alive.”

"Oh…I guess you're right…" Temp muttered the little bit of hope that had kindled immediately extinguished

“But there are other Gems you can help.” She smiled, worried, “I don’t know much about them though…we might have to… go to her base…” Tiger shuttered, clearly unnerved by ever getting close to her.

Tempest nodded a bit, he seemed emotionally deflated but still listened to her. His pendant had a little crack in it that hadn't been there before in the silver cloud

Jake thought a moment. " Do you think there could be a way i could help…since Kat knew the layout, i could try to work through it spiritually. almost like a scout."

Tiger just shut herself up and looked down, understanding that he didn’t want to be talked to after what she said. She just whispered out an apology before leaning on the wall.

Jake looked at her," Im sorry Tiger. I don't want to cause anyone harm…plus …maybe it'll help since everyone seems on edge about this whole situation."

“It’s okay, I already know the layout, it’s just two floors and a lot of technology…and cages…and a couple hallways.” Tiger said, “But I guess that would work…”

Jake looked at Mal and at Tempest. " What do you guys think?"

Mallory didn’t say a word, she didn’t know how she felt at all. So she walked over to one of the tables and sat down. She seemed to have gone deathly quiet.

"Yeah…sounds like a plan." Tempest stood up and started out of the mess hall into the crowded halls

Jake got up and sat next to Mallory. with angle not too far behind. " hey. What's the matter?"

"Nothing. I'm fine." She said stiffly, trying to avoid looking at him.

Jake looked at her. " i may not be able to have the same abilities as you but i can tell something is on your mind…is it me…is it all this that i've done…and the fact that i have a gem by my side now?……because once you guy's help me with finding my daughter and i finially help you all be at peace…you won't ever see me again." He smiled.

"No. It's nothing. I'm fine." She repeated wanting to get up and leave. He was in her way though.

“Numthing…no!” Angel said to her quietly, probably sensing that she wasn’t okay.

Mallory wasn't sure how to feel about the other, right now she didn't care for it- or her? But she was also upset, and didn't really care for anyone, just wishing to be left alone. She stood up, and took in a deep breath, remaining a neutral composure. "I'm perfectly fine, there's no need to worry. Now, I'm headed back to my room, and would not like to be disturbed. If you all wouldn't mind." She said in such a fake sweetly sickening tone before walking off away from the group.

“MmmnnnnnooooooOO!! She whined, accidentally melting one of the ice figures in her hand, which seemed to have a slight glow.

Tempest had gone into the data board room that was the door next to his room, he just needed to distract himself for now, or form some sort of plan. Another crack fissured into the pendant around his neck.

Jake took Angle and picked her up. " it's okay we can go to my room for now."

Angel nodded, staring at the melted ice with confusion.

Jake made it back into a figure and made it out of a shiny plastic. He headed off to his room and when he made it inside he set Angle down, he started to put into vision on what to do for her. " Do you want new clothes? those look pretty dirty."

“Acti-nolite..gi sumpicious…..Found Tiguur, must gi back…!” She protested, peaking out the door. It seemed that she had her priorities straight, her mission was to find and retrieve Tiger, and that’s what she was going to do.
