Peter peered into the kitchen, "Where's.. the ice cream?" He asked with a sheepish smile.

Ace grinned, "You mean the ike cream?"

"Yeah," he laughed quietly, "I've only ever had really cheap half-cup things of vanilla ice cream. Is this like, the real stuff?"

"I wouldn't know, I only discovered ike cream existed a hour ago." Ace shrugged and tapped Blake's forehead again.

"Well, can I try?" He asked with a bright grin.

Ace nodded, "Go ahead."

He opened the freezer, stretching his oversized wings awkwardly to avoid hitting stuff. The natural dust from them settling on the counters.

Ace stared at Blake's hair. It was long, but not that long, still, long enough to braid. Ace tugged at Blake's hair and started braiding it, "You need to look pretty for the ball tonight so you can woo Dani."

"Ball?" Peter interjected, shoving a spoon into the ice cream.

"Yes, a ball dance thing." Ace said, his mind still focused on braiding Blake's hair, "Does anyone have a hair tie?"

"I do," Peter pulled off a hairtie from his wrist, reaching to give it to him. "Man… I have no nice clothes," he realized with a frown.

"I'm not going to woo Dani. I don't like her like that." Blake glared at Ace, but he didn't pull away. He instead watched him with curiosity, fascinated by the braid. "I don't have any clothes either so I'm not going." He added moving his head to look at Peter.

Ace kept one hand on the braid, securing it, and grabbed the hair tie from Peter. He looped it around the end and the braid stayed in place. Ace grinned at Blake, "There, now you look almost as sexy as me."

"You're ridiculous." Blake rolled his eyes at Ace. "I looked better than you to begin with."

"Then how come I'm taken and you're not?" Ace bumped Blake in the elbow.

"Cause I'm a soldier. I don't date." Blake let out an exasperated sigh.

"I was a pirate once and even then I still had a boyfriend." Ace sighed, remembering Kameo and his adorable face.

"You have no idea how many rules I'm breaking just being here right now." Blake stiffened at the thought of Commander Ryker's disapproving face. He took a deep breath and exhaled shakily.

Hey guys, I gonna be out cause i'm watching Black Panther. You have liberty over Ace.

Peter leaned against the counter with crossed ankles, quietly listening to their conversation.

Blake shook his head and turned away from Ace, putting on a fake smile as he looked over at Peter. "I probably just won't go tonight. I don't even really know where I am anyways."

Dani nodded. "Ummmm…………okay, don't take this the wrong way, please. Sabine knew Fae. Well, I'm not really sure how well, but I do know that Sabine saved her a couple times. And she was the one who went after you and Fae to save you when Fae died. Unfortunately, the R.A.C. somehow knew that she was coming and she got shot in the stomach. By the time she had recovered, you had disappeared."

"I'll have to see is Sky wants to go.." Peter commented.

"Sky?" Blake felt like an outsider with all these new people, but hopefully she's nice too.

Peter smiled, "My love interest,"

Blake let out a defeated sigh as Ace gave him a playful nudge and smirked. "Good for you, man." He smiled at Peter. "She'll probably want to go so you should ask Josh or Dani for clothes." Blake's friendly smile went away as Ace raised an eyebrow at him. "I do not like her like that!" He whispered angrily.

Dani snickered, overhearing some of the conversation from the others. A little weird, but really funny.
