He suddenly started to run in to the forest as fast as he could with only one goal in mind. “I can’t go, I can’t go, I can’t go back.” He repeated to himself. He tripped on a log and fell about 5 feet forward. “I should have just stayed back.. I should have never came here.” He started to walk again, singing softly.
Sofie’s breath caught in her throat, “I don’t know.”
(This next character is NoT an NPC (; because he’ll be my second character I guess)
“I’m offended,” a voice hissed from the shadows, “You should know you can’t hide, Sofie. Didn’t I tell you that? ‘You can run but you can’t hide’. “ A pale cream wolf with a pink tint stepped into the dim light cast by the stars. Sofie stood paralyzed watching the wolf slither closer.
(Oh boy my writing skills are wack today)
(Sooo how is everyone? Today I gave my friend two cat stuffies because why not XD)
He woke up, and slowly started to walk back to where he remembered Sophie being. “Where can I guy like me get some berries around here?” He asked himself
The wolf stopped inches from Sofie’s face. He was almost as tall as she was, and even though he was only a couple of inches smaller, he seemed to look over the silver wolf. The cream wolf turned and took in the scene, “So… how many friends have you made on just your first day? Six? Maybe seven?” His voice was hard and cold. It made Sofie shiver, but she didn’t try to run. She knew she couldn’t now.
Riverpaw squeaked and stepped back to hide under Sofie, ears pulled back and fur frizzling. She did not like the energy this guy gave off.
The cream wolf snickered and Sofie snarled In return.
“Who’s this?” The wolf said, leaning down.
“Don’t touch her Luxias!” Sofie yelled menacingly.
Luxias only laughed and stood up straight, “Now. If you don’t want them to get hurt, I suggest you come with me… willingly.”
Sofie paused and thought. She hardly knew some of these creatures and yet… she wanted to protect them with all of her heart.
(I hate Luxias but I love his son so things are complicated… it’s ok if I kill him tho because Luxia (his son) hates him too:)
Riverpaw whimpered, pressing against Sofie's leg in fear and worry. Don't go. Don't go. She didn't know what the relationship between Sofie and this wolf was but she knew he was bad and that she didn't want Sofie to leave.
I can’t leave my friends behind, Sofie thought indecisively, But they’ll be safer without me. “Ok,” Sofie said, “I’ll.. go.” Just then an idea came to her from seemingly no where. “Can I just… have a moment to say goodbye?”
Luxias snorted and smiled, “Sure, why not? I’ll give you ten minutes.” With that, the cream colored wolf stalked away, but he didn’t go too far. He stayed just beneath the shadows at the edge of the forest.
He came back to where Sophie and Riverpaw were. “Hey guys, what going on?” He said worriedly.
(Quick question, what is Riverpaw’s worst fear?
Also where did Moxie and Deathman and Duchess and Lia and peeps go?)
(oof, her worst fear is being alone. Like, everyone-she-loves-is-dead alone.)
(hey guys, this roleplay still looks fun, but I feel like i'm losing focus. I might have to leave it, though I hope all of you still have fun! Just pretend that Moxie and Duchess found a way to teleport home using some herbs, okie?)
(Awwwwwwww :((((( we will miss you! ❤️)
Sofie suddenly realized something as Andre walked into the clearing. Luxias would never give her ten whole minutes, and he wouldn’t have moved so far away. Was he suddenly feeling more generous? Sofie seriously doubted that Luxias was.
“Give me a second.” Sofie said, walking away towards the spot where Luxias was hiding. The cream wolf smiled as she approached. She decided to take a risk. She struck fast, her paw lashed out and retreated as quick as lightning. Black drops of blood splattered from the wound she had caused. That wasn’t Luxias… Suddenly, the cream wolf transformed. It took the shape of a misty black shadow and it leapt forward, snarling in rage. It’s voice echoed off of the trees with bloodcurdling menace.
Riverpaw yipped and bolted back into the root den, peeking out to watch with frightened eyes. What is that?! She wondered, putting her paws over her ears to muffle the sounds in the clearing.
“I’ve been watching you…” an echoey voice boomed from the creature. A strange looking skull hung from the shadowy body and dropped with black blood. It fell on Sofie and she flinched each time a drop hit her.
“You shouldn’t be here…” the creature said again, leaning closer and closer to Sofie, “Leave now!” The creature opened its jaws wide and roared.
Sofie shivered and stepped back. This creature could take shape of anyone’s worst fear. She’d heard about these creatures. They were usually found as guardians. “Where do we go?” Sofie asked solemnly.
He saw Sophie and the creature. He stood behind them and he completely looked like an idiot as he held some berries. “W..wanna share?” He said.
The shadowy creature turned to Andre with a snarl. His expression changed as he saw the berries. “Share?” The creature repeated.
(I swear every time Riverpaw gets scared I just wanna go run and hug her)
“Y…yeah. Sharing.. Do you want some berries?” His voice shaking. He had never seen this creature before, and didn’t wanna see it ever again.
(I swear she's working on being braver ^~^)
"S-Sofie?" Riverpaw hissed to try and get the bigger wolf's attention. She didn't know what to do other than let the situation play out, but she felt like Sofie knew more of what was going on and she wanted at least a little context.
Sofie slowly backed away to where Andre was standing and whispered back to Riverpaw, “What do you need?”
The creature hardly noticed Sofie’s retreat. Instead, it stood gazing intently at Andre, a question in its eyes, “What is sharing?”
She leaned forward just a bit, too afraid to come out of the den. "W-who was that wolf that disappeared, what is that thing, a-and what's going on?" She whined.
“Sharing.. is kind of like giving something of yours, to someone else who doesn’t have any.” He said. “I’ll share my berries with you..” He slowly walked towards the creature, and put a couple berries in his hand. “There ya go! I hope you like them.”
The creature looked down in confusion, but he threw the berries into his mouth. His face lit up, “These were berries, you said?”
Sofie backed up a little bit more to where Riverpaw was hiding, “I think it’s a creature that takes the form of your worst fear. It has to be tangible though, or else it can’t transform. Although I believe they can make you hallucinate…” Sofie hesitated a moment, “That wolf was my worst fear. At least one that would survive on dry ground.”
