Jay kept working, glancing at the door fearfully every now and again.

goodnight love you Finn wrote after awhile and as he got ready for bed. It was late so he didn’t expect Jay to text back.

Jay glanced at the doc before going to sleep, a soft smile flashing on his face. Goodnight. Love u too. He replied. He got into bed, turning off his light.

Finn smiled and went to sleep.

Jay fell asleep on his narrow twin bed, which was pushed against the wall furthest from the door.

Finn fell asleep on his king sized bed sad that Jay isn’t laying beside him anymore.

Jay had curled up in a ball protectively.

Finn was sprawled out on his bed.

Jay kept sleeping quietly.

Finn walked into school the next morning hoping to see Jay. When he saw Willow he told her everything, about his aunt, and how he didn’t have a phone now.

Jay did make it to school, having managed to avoid his father almost completely. He had gotten hit, but not beaten, for which he was thankful.

Finn walked over to Jay. “You ok?”

Jay nodded, a faint smile flashing over his face. "Yeah." He replied. "Are you?"

“Yeah I’m fine.” he smiled back. His cheek was normal. It stung for awhile but didn’t bruise.

Jay wrapped his arms around Finn in a hug.

Finn hugged him back. “You’re sure you’re ok right?” He asked cupping his cheek slightly.

Jay nodded. "I'm okay. He hit me, but he didn't beat me this time." He replied softly, holding onto Finn.

Finn held him closer. “Ok you’d tell me if it was bad right? If I need to look at it?” He asked.

Jay nodded again. "Yeah." He replied softly, leaning into Finn and kissing his cheek.

Finn smiled and kissed his forehead. “I have to get to class.” (Frick I forget what classes they are in together)

Jay nodded. "Me too."

Finn kissed him. “I’ll see you second period,” he whispered before separating.

Jay kissed him back. "See you." he replied with a quick smile.

Finn reluctantly walked away and to his first period.

Jay headed to his own first period, his phone in his pocket. It had a terrible battery life, though, so he had turned it off for now.

(So uh…I'm asking now so that I don't have to later, but…how dark am I allowed to go with stuff? Like what are you absolutely not okay with me doing?)

Finn went to his class as well bouncing his leg slightly. He was too distracted to focus in class. He was still scared his aunt was going to find something on his phone.

(kk. You sure? Because I might go very dark, and I don't wanna traumatize you lmao)

Jay was quiet, taking notes as he sat in class. For once, he wasn't in pain.
