He moved his arms to wrap around her shoulders.

Charles let out a soft chuckle as he walked into the house, looking at Betty. ”Look at you. You look radiant.”

She wrapped her arms around his torso

" I've been in this house for weeks alone I haven't gotten any sleep since Lysander left and I look radiant" she asked with a chuckle

Henry pulled away to let Tyler catch her breath for a moment. ”Why did you apologize again?”

Charles smiled. ”Yes. Honestly, I rarely sleep much because of necessity. It's more of a way to pass the day when you have nothing else to do.” he explained. ”At least tell me that you have been feeding both yourself and the little one.” he said with a note of concern.

" because I needed to" Tyler said

" Honestly I'm exhausted I don't feel like a vampire at all" she said

”For what? I’m the one who was being a jerk to you.” Henry said softly.

Charles placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. ”That’s normal for a woman who is as far along in pregnancy as you are. I know I wasn't really there when your mother was expecting you but I know she felt similarly.”

Henry sighed and rested his forehead against her’s. ”I don’t like fighting with you either. I’m sorry I make you so mad.”

Charles's little smile faded in sadness at the memory. ”She would be very proud of you.”

"you just hurt people's feelings without meaning to you hurt Betty's all the time she goes into her bedroom and cries"

"Mom never wanted me to be like this she wanted me to be normal living normal life she don't want me to be a werewolf witch or even a vampire she don't want me to be forced into a marriage she wanted me to fall in love my own time not being forced into something I didn't want" Betty said

”I know I do. I wish I didn't.” He confessed. ”Especially not you or Betty. I never wanted that.”

”True.” Charles admitted gently. ”But do you know what she wanted for you more than that?”

Tyler smiled flicking a piece of hair out of his face

Betty shook her head no

Charles sweetly brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. ”More than anything, she wanted you to be happy.”

Henry chuckled softly at the action and looked back at her eyes. ”Will you help me try to be better?” he asked hesitantly. ”I don’t want to put you in a toxic relationship but I think… I think I need someone like you, who’s not afraid of my stupid shit, to knock me back down.” he stopped from rambling and further embarrassing himself.

"and I'm really happy ly makes makes me really happy" she said.

Tyler nodded and kissed him gently

”I know he does. A father can tell these kinds of things.” Charles smiled kindly.

Henry sighed and melted into the kiss.

Betty smile and put her hand over her stomach as she felt the baby kick

Tyler pulled away"let's go get a spellbook"

”How are you feeling?” Charles asked referring to her pregnancy.

”Yeah, let's go.” Henry nodded before picking up the umbrella and shaking it out and holding it back over them.

" I need ly I haven't slept in weeks which I know isn't good for the baby I've barely eaten anything which also isn't good for the baby and then crying so much because of freaking mood swings"

"Time to save Betty" she said

Charles nodded and placed a hand against her back and started leading her upstairs. ”The mood swings are normal. Despite us needing to drink blood, we can eat normal food which might help.” he pointed out. ”But for now you should rest. I’ll stay with you until Lysander returns.”

”Lead the way.” Henry smiled a little more confidently.

"do you know when he'll be back?" Betty asked.

Tyler let Henry down a gravel road

”He didn't even tell me he was leaving.” Charles admitted. ”But, if you would like, I can reach out to him and find out.”

Henry followed, glancing around occasionally to make sure that they weren't being stalked or anything.

"I know it's okay I don't want to bother I miss just I have really bad trust issues and while I know he would never do anything I think I still have this feeling you know that he's with another girl" she said

"No one's watching us" she said

Charles shook his head. ”Lysander would never do something like that.” he assured her. ”How long has he been gone?”

Henry shrugged. ”Sorry. Just a little paranoid.” he apologized.

"It's okay"Tyler said with a chuckle

Charles furrowed his brow slightly at the information. ”I will admit that that is odd. And he hasn't contacted you since then?”

Henry relaxed at Tyler’s chuckle but still kept an eye out for trouble and to take in the scenery as they continued.

Betty shook her head" it just left one morning he didn't kiss me goodbye hug me goodbye tell me goodbye" she said

"We should be there soon"Tyler said

Charles hummed in slight concern. That just didn't seem like Lysander at all. ”I’ll reach out to him. In the meantime, you should rest. I'll be right here.”

”That’s good.” Henry nodded before looking at Tyler, thoughtfully biting his lip. ”So what kind of spells does this book have?”

"maybe if I call him he'll answer I mean he's more likely to talk to me than he has you right" she asked

"I can only tell you that cuz I'm not sure myself all I know is there should be a spell in there to save Betty's life"

Alec Looked at Lysander since he was chained to a wall and smirked

”Perhaps.” Charles said thoughtfully. ”If you would like to try, I won't stop you.”

”As long as it's not necromancy.” Henry shrugged half-joking.

Lysander glared, beyond furious at his smug jailor. ”Come to gloat?” he growled.

"I'll try to call him later tonight" Betty said.

Tyler rolled her eyes playfully shoving into his shoulder

"Please about what my dear friend oh that Betty will finally be mine"

Charles nodded and guided her to the bed. ”Then rest first.” he smiled.

Henry chuckled kindly at the shove and let himself react in a human manner to it instead of being a brick wall.

”That will never happen.” Lysander said, his fangs on full display and his eyes blood red instead of their usual dark green.

Betty hug her father then went upstairs to rest

"You know it will you haven't been home in a month your girlfriend hasn't slept since you left she hasn't eaten since you left she honestly thinks you're with another girl" he said
