Lysander looked at Betty, a little surprised at her tone. He wasn't mad at her, he was just having a hard time wrapping his head around everything. ”You said you weren't going to let yourself die on me again. That you wouldn't be able to come back, that there’s something that will keep you… for good this time.” he said softly trying not to let his voice crack.
"I'm not leaving this child without a mother" she said.
”And that’s very kind of you, Bets.” Henry interrupted before the two could fight. ”Maybe you’ll have an advantage against dying because you're a vampire?” he said hopefully.
"Maybe we should talk in private" betty suggested to Lysander.
”Alright.” Lysander agreed.
She nodded
”Henry? Would you mind taking Tyler somewhere and letting us talk?” Lysander sighed.
”Yeah. Right.” Henry nodded awkwardly. ”Just don’t fight.” he warned gently before walking over to Tyler. ”May I?”
Tyler nodded and Betty smiled in adoration.
Henry gave a small smile before picking Tyler up and walked towards the door. ”Is there anywhere, in particular, you want to go?” he asked softly.
She shook her head no and once they were gone Betty looked at Lysander
Lysander turned to look at Betty and sat down.
She crossed her arms
Lysander sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. ”Do you want to start? Because I don't know what to say.” he said calmly.
She sighed , " you can't talk me out of this' she said
”I know. You're too stubborn and big-hearted.” he nodded. ”I just don't want to lose you. Not again.” he told her. ”I wish there was a way for you to help without the possibility of you dying.”
" i know" she said
He sighed. ”You know if we're quick enough… We might be able to save Tyler if she did deliver the child.” he said carefully. ”Of course, we’d have to talk to her about it…”

Lysander looked up at her saying his name.
" I love you but understand when the time comes you have to let me go"
”That's not… Betty, we’re the vampiric equivalent of soulmates. We're not supposed to have a ”time”, that's why we're called Eternals. Because we are supposed to have all of eternity to spend together.” he explained.
" is that what you really want you want a reckless vampire who could get you killed as your girlfriend or even your fiance" she scoffed
He sighed. ”No. Not really. But I’d do anything to keep you safe.”
Betty was taken back he didn't want her he didn't love her . " I'll stay at Henry's " she said starting to walk past him
”Whoa, wait a minute.” he said quickly standing in front of her. He looked at her hurt expression before saying in shock; ”You meant you? I thought you were calling Tyler reckless. Betty, you’re the most responsible person I know. You're not reckless and of course, I want you. More than anything. I’m sorry I misunderstood you.” he apologized genuinely ashamed he had upset her.
Betty looked at him tears threatening to fall " maybe maybe we need a break" she said
