Blaine looked thoughtful for a moment, then declared. "Venus and Ender can ride with me. They can take the backseat."

Venus had turned away into a corner, trying to decide whether to laugh or cry. Heat rushed to her face and her cheeks turned a deep crimson.

Ender wondered why everyone was acting so weird. Especially Jane and Nessa. Then again Nessa always acted weird.

This is just painful, Blaine thought, rolling her eyes as she watched them.

"How about I go with Blaine, and Ender and Nessa go with Jane?" Venus suggested, her face clearing up back to its normal tanned tone. She linked arms with Blaine quickly.

Ender followed Blaine and Venus.

Blaine walked out the back door, Vender in tow, and unlocked a maroon Jeep Wrangler.

"You scratch it, you die," she declared, glaring at them.

Ender's eyes got wide. "Die?"

"Figuratively, Ender," Blaine clarified, rolling her eyes.

Venus's eyes stroked the car. "Beautiful," she whispered, her fingers hovering inches from the shiny surface.

"DON'T TOUCH IT SHE'LL KILL YOU!"

Venus jumped. She responded back harshly. Sharply. "I wasn't going to touch it!" she snapped.

"Guys, chill. I don't care if you touch it. Just don't scratch the paint," Blaine said, shaking her head.

Venus's eyes widened. "I'm sorry!"

"For what? My goodness, you guys need to just chill." Blaine closed her eyes and rubbed her forehead. When she opened them again, she got into the driver's seat. "C'mon, get in."

Ender climbed into the back seat, still shocked that Venus could yell that loud.

Jane laughed to herself at Ender and Venus’s awkwardness and ushered her group to her car. “Come on.”

Venus's eyes widened. "I'm sorry!"

"For what? My goodness, you guys need to just chill." Blaine closed her eyes and rubbed her forehead. When she opened them again, she got into the driver's seat. "C'mon, get in."
