Zenith smiles. "I have fast reflexes from fighting." He explains. "Makes me pretty good at video games." He notes that he's starting to become less stressed when touched. Huh.
"… are we positive you don't have superpowers? No normal person is this…" he makes a wild gesture, looking for the right word. After a moment, he settles on, "… perfect."
She blushed at that and turned away. "Pshhh…perfect? N-no…" She shook her head, hiding her face away from him. "Nobodies perfect. I sure have my faults as the next person."
Zenith scoffs. "Uh huh, you're not perfect. And I don't have a healing factor."
She blushed even more. "Now you quit making me blush like this…" She said hottily, turning away from him. "I am not perfect. It doesn't exist. Everyone and everything has it's faults."
Zenith arches an eyebrow. "Of course perfect exists. I'm looking right at her."
She squeaked and hid in the blanket, now having been blushed into a silence. She was unsure of what to say or how to react really.
Zenith tilts his head. "Did I do something wrong?" He asks.
She shook her head beneath the blanket. "I-I'm fine…" She squeaks out, all embarrassed. She definitely wouldn't be coming out of the blanket for awhile, willingly anyways. (She thinks she's all rough and tough but she's just a bean)
"Hey now. Don't lie to me. I don't much like liars." Zenith parrots, repeating her own words back to her. He lifts up the blanket and hides under it with her.
Their faces are inches apart, and they're all scrunched together. Zenith smiles. "Hi."
She looked down, all red faced, so then his face was all pressed into her hair. She then sighed and pulled him on top of of her, and cuddled him closer, burying her red face into his chest.
Zenith is startled a little by the sudden hug, but, well, he's not complaining. He smiles, and puts his arms around her.
She smiled and snuggled him closer. "You need to STOP making me blush."
Zenith just smiles. "I didn't even do anything! I'm just stating facts!" Why does he feel like this is not the answer she wants?
"Facts schmats. Facts and opinions are two different things ya dork." She shook her head.
Zenith nods. "Exactly! Your opinion is that you're not perfect, and I'm counteracting the opinion with the fact that you are!"
"Yeah but what if YOU'RE opinion is wrong?" She asked, doubt in her face as she sassed him off.
Zenith rolls his eyes. "No, you have an opinion, I have facts." He shoots back.
"Liar." She rolled her eyes and poked his nose.
Zenith does his impression of a cat getting hit in the face with cheese. "I only lie when I'm backed into a corner."
"And who says you aren't backed into a corner now, dork?" She asked, looking up at him.
"Me. I say so." Zenith smirks. He boops her nose back.
She rolled her eyes. "Fine. You win. This time anyways." She groaned. (OOOOOH have the guy that's hitting on him walk in to like play video games or something and Evelyn and Zenith are all cuddled together…let's start some trouble)
Zenith smiles. "I'm on a winning streak!"
(Oh heck yes)
There's a knock on the door. "Hey Zen, Katsumi told me you were looking for sample of you blood, did you accidently cut yourself with your sword again?" A teen's voice asks.
Zenith glances over at the door. "Uh, no, I'm- I'm fine, thanks."
The door handle makes a clicking sound as the person on the other side tries to open it. "Zen, open this door." The voice demands.
Zenith glances away. "How about no."
There's murmured whispers on the other side.
The door click open, and Katsumi smirks and moves out of the way. "Lock pick." She explains before leaving.
An 18 year old boy with soft brown hair is there, and they step into the room. "Zen are you-" He cuts himself off when he sees Evelyn.
"HELLO!" She waves, then returns her arms back around Zenith all cuddled around him. "And yes, yes you are on a winning streak, but there's still a few more levels for me to make a come back!" She sassed with a bright smile, truly happy here.
The brunets eyes widen. "I- Zenith, wha- what's going on?" He stutters.
Zenith grins. "This is Evelyn." He explains.
The teen has a clearly forced smile. "Hi. I'm John." He greets through gritted teeth.
"I'm gonna tell you what I told Zenith. Don't lie. I don't much like liars." She nuzzled him a bit, seeing his anger and jealousy as clear as day. It didn't bother her though. She liked it, in a way.
John glares at her, still false smiling. "My name is John. Zenith can confirm." He ignores what she's actually trying to say.
Zenith nods. "Yeah, he's John. I looked him up and researched him because I thought he was evil. Turns out he's not."
"You get what I mean, JOHN." She sassed, sitting up. "Look. If I'm causing trouble then I'll just go. Jealousy is a dangerous thing John. I'd be careful with it. It can absolutely ruin those you truly care about." She sighed, put on her shirt, and stretched a bit, preparing to leave.
John glares at Evelyn for a moment, then sighs. Under his breath he murmurs, "At least she's not Jayden." He hesitates another moment before sighing again. "Hurt him and I'll tell Katsumi and Crystal. By the time they're done with you, there won't be a body to bury." He says stiffly, before turning around and walking out.
Zenith blinks, looking between the door and Evelyn. "Whats going on?"
"So. Basically. John is in love with you, but wants to give you space and freedom of choice so he's not going to press himself on you, and wants you live freely without anything pressing on you. I personally think that that's hurting you. Trust me, I know the look of a jealous and in love man. He wants to make sure you are safe and cared for. So. I'm gonna go, and let you make up your mind and think. Unless you want me to stay here and help…"
