“Nononono please don’t cry.” Kyle whispered, kissing the tears away.

“I-I’m sorry. I just-“ he cut himself off, choking on a sob. He hugged Kyle tighter. “I can’t lose you!”

Kyle wrapped his arms around Caleb, not even thinking twice about it, "You're not losing me."

“B-But what about the ice? Is it going away?” He asked, too afraid of what he might see to check himself.

Kyle raised his hand and let out a small laugh in disbelief, "Yes! Caleb it's… it's going."

“R-really?” He looked up in disbelief and at seeing the ice disappearing, a wide smile appeared on his face and he hugged Kyle tightly. “Thank god.”

Kyle collapsed into Caleb, heart beating fast. He’d been more scared then he’d been letting on.

More tears flowed down his cheeks. Caleb kept hugging him tightly, as if Kyle would break if he let go. After a few minutes he pulled away, looking Kyle in the eyes. “I love you so very much. Now do you wanna head home? For real this time?”

Kyle nodded, though he didn't let go of Caleb or make any move to start walking just yet.

Caleb was patient. He was honestly a little hesitant to let go of him too. He gently grabbed his hand. “I’ll wait for as long as you need me to.”

Kyle squeezed his hand hard, then relaxed and repeated, "I love you…"

“I love you too.” He smiled, kissing his forehead. “Ready to go?”

He nodded, “C-Can you carry me, please?”

He smiled “of course.” He got Kyle on his back, carrying him piggy back style back towards the apartment. “I’m so glad you’re okay.”

Kyle wrapped his arm around Caleb’s neck, resting his head on his shoulder, “Me too.”

His smile widened a bit. It was always reassuring to have him this close. He continued back to the apartment in content silence, only setting Kyle down once they’d actually reached their front door. Caleb grabbed his keys, fighting a bit with the lock before getting the door open. “After you handsome,” he offered with a smile.

Kyle blushed, standing on his toes to press a kiss to Caleb's cheek, "Thank you." He said as he entered the apartment.

“My pleasure.” He replied, following him inside. “I don’t know about you but I’m dead tired….” Internally, Caleb just wanted to cuddle.

He raised a brow, "Wanna take a nap and cuddle then?"

He nodded, a smile appearing on his face. He kissed Kyle’s cheek before heading towards the bedroom. He sat down on the bed, taking off his shirt. He’d gotten a bit overheated carrying Kyle the whole way home.

Kyle hummed softly, following shortly after Caleb. He ended up grabbing one of Caleb's jumpers and pulling it up over his head and balling his hands up in the sleeves a moment later. He flopped down on the bed next to him.

Caleb lay down, pulling Kyle down with him. He planted a gentle kiss on Kyle’s forehead. “I love you.” He whispered.

Kyle blushed lightly, burying his face in Caleb's chest, "I love you too." He mumbled.

“I really thought I was gonna lose you today…….it scared the shit out of me.” He said quietly, running his fingers through Kyle’s hair.

Kyle swallowed, leaning into Caleb's touches, "Honestly… me too. But you didn't so you don't have to be scared."

“Can’t help it. I always worry too much about you. But I’ll do my best.” Just having Kyle by his side right now made him relax. He planted a few gentle kisses on top of Kyle’s head.

Kyle sighed contently at the kisses, "Thank you. All I ask if for you to try."

A content smile appeared on his face and he held Kyle tightly. After a few seconds of just holding him, his smile changed into a sly grin and he started attacking him with kisses.

Kyle whined, not expecting it and squirmed slightly, trying to get away, "Caleb! Stop!"

He chuckled but slowly began to stop. “Sorry, you’re just so cute”
