(Wanna skip to the library?)
(Yes please)
Caelia went to the library right after school, and got out her laptop. She didn't know what to look up. What had they covered, again? She couldn't really remember. It seemed like there were a lot of revolutions involved.
Kiara had been pretty busy during the day, and so she had done most of her researching on her phone. Phone still in hand, after lingering at the end of school to talk to another teacher about something, she headed to the library, though she wasn't in a hurry. "Hi, yes, I'm here," she announced her arrival in the library not long after Caelia had settled down.
(stalk?)
(Definitely feel free to stalk ❤🍪)
"That's great, have you got any good topics?" Caelia asked without looking up. She didn't have anything, but hopefully law chick had some ideas.
(Yup! Stalking is totally fine! ^^)
"I was actually kind of hoping we could do ours on the Book Law…" Kiara suggested, not sure about the suggestion though. She was half-hoping that Caelia would say yes, but at the same time no.
Caelia half-snorted. "It's supposed to be a presentation of information, not an argument," she said lightly.
"Actually, I was thinking…" Kiara started, going over to sit at the table with Caelia. Her brain had apparently been coming up with a whole plan for this if Caelia had said yes while she was doing other things the entire day. She explained that they could do their two obviously differing opinions, and for the episodes, they could include like only a bit of their side, and elaborate a bunch on the various points each would make.
(Let me know if that last sentence doesn't make any sense.)
(I am a little bit confused lol, sorry)
(Lol that's fine. So basically, she's saying-)
(Kiara can do one side of the book law, and Caelia can do the other side. Since they have to do this podcast with episodes, she came up with an idea. Each character could come up with multiple points on why their side is more correct/better, right? So, they could only have maybe two or so points in each episode, and to extend each episode, they could go deep into discussion on each point.)
(Oh alright lol)
Caelia raised an eyebrow. "So… it's like a debate? I mean, I guess we could do that," she said, shrugging. She wasn't really sure about the plan, but she didn't feel like arguing about it.
(Lol yeah)
"Yeah. I mean, we technically did cover it in class…" Kiara trailed off, suddenly losing the burst of confidence she had gotten out of the blue earlier.
Caelia shrugged. "Whatever gives me an A," she said thoughtfully. "We can each write our script for our bits, and we'll collaborate for the rest if we decide we both need to explain something."
"Okay then…" Kiara was liking this idea more and more, actually. She wouldn't have to interact with this Caelia as much as she'd thought she'd have to… right?
"Cool, so I'm gonna go home and… probably do nothing, but I'll finish it at some point. Um, give me your number so I can text you if I - like - die, or if I need to brag about how great my ideas are," she closed her computer and looked up, smiling faintly.
Kiara laughed nervously, pulling out her phone. "Yeah… okay aha," and she recited her phone number.
Caelia typed the number into her phone and shoved her computer into her bag. "'Kay, cool, see you tomorrow or something," she waved and left the library.
"Okay…" Kiara stood up and watched Caelia leave, dumbfounded. Why was she being so nice to her? Didn't she recognize her from earlier that morning? She'd clearly noticed her that morning, so what was she doing?
