Cas nodded, and he made his way to the bank. He crawled out of the water, seemingly totally dry. He did a little bow. "Cassiel, at your service. Healing via the supernatural is my specialty, and it looks like you need my services."

"Maybe? What the heck is that thing? Are you saying it's sick or something?" Mike glanced warily at Lucifer hovering above them.
"More or less. It's currently afflicted by a godly parasite. Living crystal, more or less. And I'm here to try and administer a cure before it goes on a rampage," Cas said, adjusting the bandages across his eyes
(so is this around the time where Lucifer is supposed to yeet himself into another dimension)
(basically )
(Probably) "Well, it's a bit late to stop him doing that," Mike said. "But by all means, try. Anything we can do to help, let us know."
Lucifer's ears rotated, listening closely to a conversation between a hunter, and… some sort of healer? In a panic, he took to the air and shot up through the sky, fire trailing behind him. Within seconds, he was gone.
Cas looked up, and he swore as Lucifer took off. "Great. Wonderful. At this rate he'll spread the jade to everyone in the dimension."
(alright should I just… casually have Yvette shimmy into this dimension bc I don't know what else to do)
(yeah that works. maybe she was tracking Luci or something?)
(okay)
Yvette cursed, watching the creature take off. She ran a hand through her hair in frustration. If she didn't get to him soon, her reward of $1,200 would just go down the drain. Yvette stomped through the forest, green eyes blazing with anger as she tried to figure out what to do next.
Cas turned, sensing someone else who didn't seem to belong in this universe. Gods, what had he gotten himself in to?
Mike ordered his men to regroup now that the fire was almost out. "Well, thanks anyway," he said to Cassiel. "So that was an infected god, huh? No wonder our bullets didn't work on it." He noticed that Cassiel seemed distracted. "What is it?"
"It appears you have a visiting bounty hunter," he said, gesturing to Yvette
(dude I'm listening to new releases on spotify and it started playing a remix of a super mario galaxy song)
(lol) Mike saw Yvette and narrowed his eyes. "Oh really?" He walked over to meet Yvette as she entered the clearing. "Hey, Ma'am, can I hep you with something? What are you doing here?"
She stepped back from the man, crossing her arms. "Unless you can help me capture Lucifer, then I don't think there's anything you can help me with." She began walk forward again, then realized something. "Oh. You want to know what I'm doing in your dimension, don't you?"
"Yes, I believe that's common courtesy," Cas said, fiddling with his hood. He was still adjusting to using this as his default form, and just having legs alone was a tad difficult to get used to sometimes
"I want to know what you're doing on my property, specifically. Apparently you knew the infected god was going to show up?"
"I did," she admitted. "And somebody offered me quite a bit of money to capture and bring Lucifer to him before he went on a rampage."
"Oh, it's not that much money. Bringing him in is probably worth far more than that, especially now that he's gotten away," Cas grumbled
Mike listened carefully. "So he's been infected for a while, and people know about it. Is there a cure?"
"I'm not sure how many people know about it exactly. I just heard about it from the one person."
"Yes, there's a cure. You think there wouldn't be after this thing existing for millions of years?" Cas scoffed
"If it's been around, why couldn't they develop a vaccine or something?" Mike asked.
"Because it's not a conventional parasite. Think of it as a hive mind, controlled by a queen. Sort of like a hive of bees," Cas said. "Because of this, the parasite has always been able to find away around vaccination. I would know, I did all the testing myself."
"What exactly does this virus-like thing make you do?" Yvette asked curiously. "I wasn't informed, and I live in a sort of isolated dimension."
"And how contagious is it? Can beings other than gods catch it?"
Cas shrugged. "Many things. Takes over the mind, strengthens the host, and then causes mayhem. Of course the host can overcome the parasite and use the new strength to their advantage, but by the time it's been overcome the parasite is permanently ingrained in the body. It's been used as a mutagen as well, but that experimentation has been…put to a stop," Cas said, frowning a little
"How likely do you think it is that Lucifer will overcome it?"
