She didn't want to go back either but she didn't have much of a choice. If she did, she'd more than gladly stay right here with him and never leave his arms again.

As they neared the manor again, Dorian pulled Fiona closer to his side, ready to protect her if need be. He seemed slightly if not very on edge when he spotted her family.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"Ah, there they-what happened to you??" Her brother grabbed her wrist and pulled her away from Dorian, though it was definitely tighter than it seemed from the way she winced.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Dorian narrowed his eyes, his jaw tightening at her wince and resisting the urge to punch the guy in the face, "We were talking. Time must have moved quicker then we thought."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"No no, that's not what I mean. Are these bruises? What did you do to my sister?" He traced along a few spots on her neck, pulling her closer to inspect further. She was shaking again, though less than before.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Dorian slipped his hands into his pockets to hiding his clenched fists, "I did those. But I did them all with consent. If you're going to take any anger out do it on me and not your sister. She has done nothing wrong."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"You let him?" His voice hadn't changed but his eyes held a familiar fire. She swallowed thickly, trembling more than before. "I-I…" She could barely speak, her voice shaking. "I did…"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Dorian couldn't take it. He walked between them, managing to get her wrist out of his grasp. He pulled her back against his side, a protective and yet somehow comforting grip on her, "I don't see how that's a problem."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

(Awww, I'm sorry! To be honest, I write all of my characters like this so I'm kinda desensitized to it)
"And who said you could take her?" Now it was both of her sisters that yanked her out of his grip. She nearly fell over but managed to stay standing, though the growing panic in her eyes was strong.

@ElderGod-Carrots

(me too but the poor babyyyy)
Dorian actually let out a growl this time, seeming to stand taller and well, scarier then he had a moment ago, "Who gave you the authority over her? it is Fiona's choice about what she does and I don't think she needs her sisters dictating her life," He took a step forward, "And don't forget who you're talking to, Viscountess." Dorian never brought power and titles into play, but right now it seemed necessary to remind them he was of higher rank.

"You don't scare us. Not even your father cares about you." Mark scoffed, taking his sister into his grasp, holding her to his chest with a grip that was much tighter than it seemed from how much she winced. "Please…leave him alone…he doesn't deserve to be lectured…" She whimpered softly. They paid no mind to her, Mark only squeezed her tighter, making her bite her lip to hold back a cry of pain.

@ElderGod-Carrots

He noticed her pain, and it was the last straw. he didn't even hesitate before he swung, hitting Mark square in the jaw with a punch much harder even he expected. When his grip faulted, he tugged Fiona behind him, out of harms way.

Her father, who hadn't been paying attention to the situation at all, was now fully alert. "What is going on here?" His gaze landed on Dorian and his terrified daughter behind him. "That was completely unprovoked, what is wrong with you?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with your children? First, your son decides he knows what's best for your daughter, obviously hurting her since she is was clearly in pain. Then your daughters think they know best. And then, they have the nerve to threaten and lecture me? I'm sorry but I can't stand by and watch the woman that I like being threatened and abused by her own family."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"You love someone like her?" He only laughed, making Fiona whimper. "Don't fool yourself, boy. She's nothing. I've heard tales about how picky you are. Take a little pride in yourself, there are much better young women out there dying for your hand that aren't completely useless. Don't you want a girl who's beautiful and sweet unlike her?" She cowered behind him. "Told you so." She mumbled.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"No. No there is not. There is no other woman out there as genuine as your daughter. I'd rather thrown myself into a burning building then be with anyone else. She is not nothing. She is everything. And I am going to remind her of that every single day since clearly you cannot," Dorian seemed furious, practically burning with it, though he spoke calmly, "Now, get off my property."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"Fine then, we'll be taking her and be going. I hope you said your goodbyes since it's the last one you're getting." "Wait what?!" She froze up. "We can't have our family intermingling with one that holds such discontent with us." "But I love him!" "Well that's a damn shame. Let's go." She whimpered softly but crumbled, knowing that it was useless to fight. "Yes Father…"

@ElderGod-Carrots

"No." Dorian grabbed her hand, stopping her from moving anywhere. If er family got close he wouldn't hesitate to punch, obvious as to how his other hand was already in a fist, "You're not going anywhere, Fiona. If you want to leave with them, sure, but if you don't I'll gladly let you stay here for however long you want."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

She hesitated for a minute, going back and forth in her mind before clinging to him in a tight hug, burying her face in his shoulder as she started to cry. Her father simply sighed. "Overdramatic as always." He stepped forward to collect her and she tensed.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Oi!" Dorian's father came out, clearly been watching from the side lines, "You heard my son, get off our property."
The two shared a look for a second. Even though they hated each other there was still some form of respect. Dorian gave him a subtle nod, turning his attention on Fiona, bring her in close and mumbling words of comfort and love as his father who was well, slightly bigger then him dealt with Fiona's family.

@ElderGod-Carrots

He took a step forward, "It is clear to me that your daughter has made her choice. Now get off my property before I have to break your legs and roll you off."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Dorian relaxed slightly when they left, silently thanking his father as he went back inside the house.
"Love? do you want to head back to the cabin?" He asked quietly, hoping the relaxing environment would help her.
