He placed a hand on her shoulder. ”It matters because I don't want to hurt you. I want to make you happy.” he sighed. ”I know I haven't been doing a very good job of it so far but that's what I want to do.”

Lysander sighed. ”Alright. The thought did cross my mind.” he admitted. ”But as soon as I pictured it, I saw your face as I pulled away from the kiss.”

" the only thing stopping you is my feelings you don't even care that I love you I could probably go die right now and you wouldn't care" she said tears rolling down her cheek

”No! Of course, I would care.” he exclaimed. ”Betty, do you not remember what I said when you died the last two times? I love you more than anything. When I said I saw your face; I meant that it was yours that I pulled away from after kissing.”

Betty sniffled wiping her eyes

Lysander gently wrapped his arms around her and let her cry into his shoulder. ”I told you; I'm not going anywhere, mon amour.”

”It’s alright. I’m right here, my angel.” he assured softly, holding her closer.

" don't leave me " she sobbed into his chest

”Never.” he agreed, kissing her cheek.

" I can't do this without you I don't want to do it without you you're the only reason after every time I die I have the strength to come back if it weren't for you I would have stayed dead"

”You don't have to do anything. I’m here. I’ll always be here.” he whispered. ”Every time I see you die, something inside me dies with you and it hurts so much. But I am so grateful that you have managed to come back. I can't lose you.”

" do you still love her" she asked

Lysander hummed thoughtfully as he tried to come up with the right words. ”Perhaps in the same way that you still care about Henry. I don't mind, by the way, that you do. In fact, if it weren't for you Henry and I wouldn't have talked as much as we have lately and not as civilly either.”

Betty leaned up cupping his cheeks with her hand "I love Henry like a brother I thought he was my one and only my soulmate but right now I look into your eyes and I know I was so wrong I'm asking you now who do you have that feeling with me ….or.,… Marie"

”You.” he answered placing his hand over her’s, leaning into her touch.

She closed her eyes and let out a sigh of relief

Lysander smiled softly at the sound, knowing that she believed him and turned to kiss her palm.

Lysander quickly caught her before she could fall. He smiled a little more. ”I’m guessing it changed back?” he asked.

She nodded "yeah"

His smile grew, relieved at the news as he picked her up and spun her around in his arms.

Betty giggled scrunching up her nose

He stopped spinning and kissed her lovingly.

She placed her hand on his cheek and kissed him back

Lysander sighed into the kiss before pulling back a little. ”Do you still want us to look for her? Or should we leave her alone for now?” he asked softly.

" what do you want to do" she asked stroking his cheek

”I want to be with you.” he admitted. ”But Henry is probably on his way here. I do know a few methods to keep her away though I've never actually used them before.”

Betty smiled giving him several small kisses
