Aliana debated with herself for a moment taking one last glance back at the monster. She looked at him, "Okay."
Aliana debated with herself for a moment taking one last glance back at the monster. She looked at him, "Okay."
Hatta paused for a moment, and tossed the hat to the ground in front of them. "Just jump in."
Aliana nodded and took a start before hopping in slipping down into the emptiness of the hat. She had stumbled slightly once down but sat down taking rapid deep breaths trying to calm herself.
Hatta set the hat to the side, careful, then jumped inside of it himself. Hopefully the monster would pass them by.
Aliana was surprised as Hatta appeared after her. She hadn't realized he would be coming in to and wondered how they would get out now.
"We can still get out." Hatta said reassuringly. "So long as the hat doesn't fall over." He grinned.
Aliana gave him a little smile back as she laid on whatever the inside of the hat was made of, "Thank God. I was worried about that."
Hatta shrugged, sitting down. "Mm. Now we just wait a while."
Aliana nodded and closed her eyes for a moment. She hoped the monster was dumb enough to run past the hat.
Hatta swallowed, peering upwards and waiting.
Aliana went quiet before quietly asking, "When do you think the coast will be clear?"
Hatta shrugged, sitting down. "I don't know."
"I guess that makes sense," Aliana let out a sigh and closed her eyes once more. She was happy for the temporary safety.
Hatta sighed softly, and poured himself some tea.
Aliana thought for a moment before asking, "Could I have a cup?"
Hatta blinked. "Huh? Oh. Yeah sure." He poured some for her.
Aliana smiled as she took the cup. It shaking slightly in her hands, "Thank you."
Hatta nodded. "You're welcome." he glanced up at the opening again.
Aliana looked up to the ceiling and saw the opening. She could almost make out the nose of that monster but chose to look away leaving her hands shaking further. She was fine. She was okay.
Hatta kept looking, eyes narrowed.
Aliana looked to Hatta who was looking at the opening, "Is it gone?"
Hatta shrugged. "I don't know. Give it a bit more time, just in case."
"Okay," Aliana nodded taking a sip of the tea and then a deep breath trying to calm her shaking hands.
Hatta drank some more tea, still looking upwards.
Aliana opted to look around the inside of the house once more since looking up would further set her panic and fear.
Hatta sighed softly, running a hand through his hair.
Aliana glanced at Hatta and remembered that if it wasn't for her and her physical weakness he could have gotten away from the monster on his own. Instead, he chose to stay and drag her along with him never letting Ali get far back on her own. She looked down at the teacup and her shaking hands as she whispered, "Thank you for not leaving me."
Hatta glanced at her. "Hm? Oh. You're welcome." he replied, then looked back up.
Aliana smiled a little still trying to figure him out. He always acted like she wasn't a bother or pain when she knew very well she was.
Hatta kept watch, taking a sip of tea again.
