"I just wanted to tell you that I might have to wake up earlier in the mornings, so you won't always be able to catch me before I leave." Raven bit his lip, tapping the wheel.

"O-Oh…why's that?" She asked feeling a little disappointed at the news. She really liked saying goodbye to him before he left- and that also meant he probably had to go to bed earlier. She was hardly going to see him.

"I need to get work early because of traffic and my meetings and paperwork. I'll still be able to come home early though so we can still have dates and stuff. You just probably won't see me in the mornings. The good thing is I'm taking a leave because of our Christmas vacation, I still will have to work, but not as much." he gave a heavy sigh.

"That's- great." She said softly shutting off the sink and drying her hands. "But, you'll have to head to bed earlier won't you? Don't lie to me, I know you will. You didn't wake up before me today, and we stayed up later last night."

"Yeah, I will, sorry…" he said softly. "You caught me."

"Yup, that's kind of what I thought. And you aren't given much more of a choice?" She asked looking for a last resort.

"I'm sorry. I want to spend time with you too," Raven whined.

"You can't help it, I know." She sighed going into the living room and sitting on the couch. "You owe me a date though."

"This Saturday like I promised last week. Finish wrapping the presents so I can go in the living room!" Raven reminded. "The tree should be coming soon so just be ready for them so the people can put it in the stand.

"Oh right! Thanks for reminding me." She smiled brushing her hair out of her face. "I love you~"

“Love you, kiss you when I get home,” he sent a kiss through the phone before hanging up.

She giggled a bit before setting her phone aside and quickly getting up to wrap the rest of the presents.

Raven drove into the driveway and opened the front door. “I’m home~, can I come into the living room?”

It was all quiet, and Ira lay on the floor surrounded by wrapped gifts. She was fast asleep, and soft music played and the TV chattered.

“Ira?” He questioned walking into the living room. He saw Ira sleep of the floor and he checked his watch. “Did I really come that late?”

It was only around 5-6 o'clock but she was sound asleep. Breathing softly she curled up tighter into a ball with a soft calm look on her face.

Raven picked her up and put her on the couch. “I’ll clean up here…” he mumbled as he clean up the soccers and put the scraps of wrapping paper in the garbage. He put everything away before sitting in the couch with Ira.

At the movement she mumbled and opened her eyes some. They burned at the light and she shut them again. "Raven?" She asked in a slurred tone.

“Hey, you awake now?” Raven asked stroking her hair.

She nodded softly. "What time is it?" She yawned sitting up some.

“5:36, how was your day?” Raven leaned in and kissed her.

"Pretty decent." She stretched snuggling into him. "I got a massive headache and took some medicine. I think I probably took Benadryl."

“It’s that to help you stop elegiac reactions and I’m elegiac to that…” he mentioned.

"Oh- well I was in such an awful headache state I couldn't tell. It knocks me right out- will it affect you?" She asked pulling away from him just to make sure.

"No unless I take it into my body, then no," Raven smirked as he kissed her lips, bringing her close.
