Sofie perked her ears and laughed at Lia’s comment, “Human tendencies. Kinda makes me miss my human form… But not for much longer!” And with that, there was a flash of light. Instead of a 6 foot tall wolf, there was now a short 5 foot human standing where Sofie had been sitting.
“Ta da!” Sofie said, smiling with her hands on her hips.
Lia Glared, "Just how many of you can shift forms?"
Sofie shrugged and felt a little affronted. She wasn’t about to tell them she was the descendant of a kitsune, but she didn’t have any other defense. So, Sofie stayed silent and shifted back into her wolf form with another flash of light.
Lia didn't look very happy that Sofie could shift forms, so Riverpaw didn't really want to speak up, but it would technically be lying if she didn't so… "Uhm, I-I can," she said, raising her paw a little, "but I don't…like to."
Sofie’s ears perked again, “You can? What can you shapeshift into?” Sofie turned to Riverpaw, interested. (Riverpaw is a fox right?)
(Also yayyy Relsey is heeeree!)
Looks at them and shake my head, I head to the tree house as I climb up an I turn into a red, blue dragon when I walk into the tree house and I lay down
(nope she's a wolf)
"J-just the same as you, a human form." She muttered with a shrug. Riverpaw turned to the pile of collected foliage and glanced at Sofie. "Um, w-what do you wanna do with these now?"
“Oh..” Sofie replied. She looked down at the huge pile of vines they had gathered with a shrug, “I’ll probably still use them as a hammock along with anyone else who wants to.” Sofie kicked a vine and looked up. The sun was still pretty high in the sky, but in a few hours it would be dark. Time was faster on this world than Origin, but the seconds still seemed to crawl by like a caterpillar. It wouldn’t be long before something bad happened. Sofie almost felt like her power was bad luck. Something bad always happened.
Riverpaw looked around the clearing; she didn't know yet where Sofie intended to make her hammock but there were no caves or mounds near enough to the area for her comfort. The tree Lia was resting in, however, had thick surface roots that arched out and over themselves in a den-like fashion.
(HI GUYS had no internet for a week, and judging from the story so far, I missed everything??? It looks like a bunch of grass came out to kill wolves or something?)
(Nah, Riverpaw and Sofie got vines and bushes and stuff to make dens and a hammock, DK found his own stuff [and yoinked some from the wolves I think] and made a den already, and I think Lia was just chilling the whole time.)
(Shweet, sounds easy enoguh, same place?)
(Yes XD that was an awesome explanation TinyMagicWolf lol)
“Ummm, so then… I guess I will scout out the area…? Or something…” Sofie mumbled. She turned and began to walk slowly away towards the thinner trees and the creek.
Lia Mumbled something that sounded remarkably like, "Canines, curse the lot of them." from her tree and flicked her tail back and forth. "You know it really wasn't me." Lia jumped from the sudden voice, "Good heavens Hilos you're still here." The cat like creature flouted near Lia her glow some what dimmed with the suns setting. "Lia I'm serious for once, I didn't know what that human would do to you." Lia sighed and curled her tail around her face. "I know." She fell into a light sleep.
Riverpaw took to dragging the collection closer to the trees. She looked up warily at Lia and Hilos as she settled it near the twisted roots. She ducked into the roots, finding that it was just the right size for her to stand and turn around without being cramped. She sighed as she plopped down in the dirt center and closed her eyes, trying to forget about this whole situation for just a moment.
Sofie played with her necklace as she sat in the glade she had found nearby. She couldn’t go back, she knew that. She could stay here, she guessed, and wait until it was safe again. Sofie shook the thought from her head and forced a smile onto her face. Smiling always made her feel better. The silver-furred wolf watched the sun sink into the horizon until the bottom tip of the sun touched the tree-covered hills in the distance. Finally, she stood and walked back to the others. The smile was still on her face.
(😮😮 Just drew something I know I’ll never be able to draw again…)
(Sure, I’ll send the link)
(Oh boy that glitched me out real bad)
(Dude, that looks awesome!)
(pssst I got a bit lost, who's exactly at the middle of the forest where everyone meets up?)
(I think everyone's there, but Haze's player has been absent for a while.)
(Lol there’s Riverpaw, Duchess, Moxie, Sofie, Dk technically cause he’s in the base, and Lia and Helios are nearby.. not sure exactly if they’re in the clearing. Haze kinda just disappeared.. I feel like I might be forgetting someone…….)
(ahhh okie dokie makes sense ima write now)
Finally, after a fair while of dragging the soggy basket of fish, Duchess and Moxie arrived back at the clearing.
'Oh, it feels like we're a little late, my dear' exclaimed Duchess, 'it felt like it took weeks dragging this basket.' Moxie looked up at the sky, and she had to agree; they were probably around two minutes late to their meet-up time.
'Well, that's alright, they'll just be even more grateful for the food.' They both stumbled a little more, until finally they came to the clearing, inhabited by what seemed to be more people then before… but maybe her eyes were tired, she couldn't tell. She dropped the fish and bounded over to the others.
'Hi guys! Sorry we're late, I think we caught quite a bunch of them. I'm hoping we can all have a feast.'
'Especially when we cook the fish' stated Duchess, 'the oil and crispiness will be heavenly, I tell you, especially with a few herbs if we manage to find some.' But quite suddenly, Duchess started t ache in her legs, and she could feel her eyes drooping, begging for some rest. 'Oh, I almost forgot. Have you found a place where we can all sleep, my sweet little wolves?'
