"Does it hurt?" Nick asked wrapping him in his arms.
"Does it hurt?" Nick asked wrapping him in his arms.
He tilted his head back and forth to say 'kinda'. "It's throbbing, but it's not too bad…"
"Okay…" the bell rang and Nick looked at the time. "That's my cue. Nurse, if anyone comes in here and asks to take him, say no. Can you also walk him to his next class? I don't want to get him punched on the way there."
"Er… alright." She agreed, though was a little confused. "Bye, Nick…" Lucas waved, not excited for the other to leave.
“I’ll see you later, love you!” He sent and air kiss before leaving.
“So…how have you two gone?” Asked the nurse with a smirk.
Lucas blushed, a little taken aback by the question. "O-Oh! Um… it's… it's been good, yeah." He said awkwardly, unable to make eye contact.
"No, I mean have you done the dirty deed yet?" The nurse sat next to him changing his tissues.
"Uh…" Lucas flushed harder, his face gradually growing redder until it was completely scarlet. He couldn't speak, but his silence was a clear yes.
"I'll take that as a yes. Do you guys live together?" she asked. "Is he good to you?"
"Um… y-yeah, we live together. He's great. He… uh… he got me out of my dad's house, which I'll be eternally grateful for…" Lucas sighed, tapping the fingers of his free hand on the cot anxiously.
"Well, that's good. He such a wonderful boy. He's popular, he helps people out, he even does charity work too. He's the best person in the schcool."
Lucas nodded. "I'm very lucky to have him, ma'am… god knows whether I'd even be alive without him…"
"Alright, take care of him because he can get a little insecure at times. The blood has stopped so I should get you to class. Why do I have to walk you?" She stood up pulling Lucas up with her.
"Um… people tend to like, uh… hitting me…" He said quietly, letting the nurse pull him up. "I suppose Nick doesn't want that to happen."
"I'll talk to the principal about it," she opened the door and walked out with Lucas. "This is serious. If you can get hurt this badly by someone else then they can be thrown in jail for that."
"No one needs to go to jail… they're just stupid high school kids." Lucas shrugged weakly. "I'm sure they'll grow out of it…"
"Still, it's basically assault. Abuse even. Just, I'll tell the principle and let him decide. They'll probably get suspended for that. I need you to tell me the names though." The nurse took out her pad and a pen.
Lucas sighed softly. "Yes, ma'am…" He listed the names for her, which ended up being a rather long list. "And if the principal doesn't believe you, I suppose you can get Nick. He'll give his word."
"I count on that. Is this your class?" she asked stopping in front of the door. The room was lit by the TV projecting to class as everyone took notes.
He nodded. "Thank you for the help, ma'am." He dipped his head politely and stepped into the classroom, sitting in his usual seat.
Nick, who was sitting next to him passed him a note that read, "All good?"
Lucas glanced at the note and nodded. What did I miss? He wrote back, slipping the note into Nick's hand when the teacher wasn't looking.
Nothing important, just me missing you he wrote and passed the note under the desk.
He read the note, blushing a bit once he took in the message. He looked over at Nick and rolled his eyes. Anything other than that?
Let me think…nope! This movie is boring anyway. I wasn't paying attention because I was thinking you… Nick stuck his tongue playfully as he handed it back to Lucas.
Lucas huffed, blushing a bit more. He crossed his arms on the desk and hid his red face in them.
What shall we do tonight? he wrote sticking the post it not on his leg.
Lucas glanced down at it. I dunno. He wrote back.
What about, dinner, homework, then maybe a little bit of….what we did yesterday morning? he stuck the note under his shoulder.
Lucas blushed again, hesitating before writing a quick Sure.
