Jack quickly covers his ears, "no no no no!"

“Jack, is something wrong?” Megan clearly heard the voices, but wasn’t really pay attention to them. It wasn’t the first time a voice would comment on something, so she really didn’t mind, on the other hand, Megan could see Jack didn’t want to hear the voices.

The grass below him began to die, he fell down and kept his eyes and ears shut. "Not now…I can't take it!!"

“Jack‽ Are you okay?” Megan asked, worryingly. She slowly approached him but kept a distance in case he decided to hurt Megan. “What can I do to help, Jack?”

The voice came again, "There's nothing you can do…he is weakest in this form. All you can do is watch as he…leaves a rather dangerous hope in this world"

Megan eyes widen in fear and she gulped. She backed away from Jack just a bit before she took a small object. “W-Who are you and why are you taking control over his body‽”

"Take control? Who says that? I am very much a real being, with a little surprise for little Jack!"

Jack cried but got up and yelled, "shut up!!"

Megan growled and for a moment, her eyes flashed red. “Just leave him alone! He doesn’t need you, you little demon. . or whatever you are.”

"why should I stop?" He laughs

Jack stops crying and shushes Megan really quickly. He tries really hard to avoid hearing the voice.

Megan stopped talking, but just started observing Jack. Something was wrong with Jack, she could feel it. She didn’t know how, but she could. She felt extreme sadness coming off him. She sighed and sat on the ground, still observing him.

The voice became quiet and they were alone. "He wanted us to fight nothing. He wanted destruction while making us look like we're insane" his young voice quivered and his tears dried.

Megan didn’t have words, instead she got up and hugged Jack. “Who was he anyways?” Megan asked. She was a tad bit curious about who the voice belonged to.

"You heard him before, but I guess he's grown weaker. It's Kai"

“Kai? The Kai that wanted the bracelet?”

He nods. "He's getting desperate"

Megan shook her head and sighed. “How are we going to defeat him?”

He gently closed his eyes and turned into his adult form. Then he conjured the red blade. "With this"

Megan was completely dumbfounded and didn’t say anything for a couple of moments. “Woah, is that going to take his energy or powers away?”

"it will store him until I finish what I created"

“Ah, that makes so more sense.”

He was unconvinced. "I bet that somewhere in your mind you don't understand"

Megan instantly nods her head. Truth to be told, she didn’t understand anything. She didn’t understand how the weapon would store Kai inside without him being able to escape.

He cringes, "he's….me? My kid? Whatever you want to call it. The blade has a magical property that traps his essence without killing him. It was once used to store my soul." He smiles, "I'm not the best at explaining things."

“Yeah, I realized that.” She paused before continuing. “But now, I understand it a bit better than I did a couple of moments ago.”

"doubt it but okay!"

She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. “Don’t doubt me, Jack.”

"Okay! Okay!" Jack laughs, "I won't next time!"

“Good!” Megan laughs and fell to the ground.

Jack sits next to Megan with his legs crossed, "whatcha doin?"

“Looking at the beautiful sky.” Megan responded nonchalantly.
