"You're…wow." She didn't know what to say. This person was the child of the people Simone probably hated the most in the world. On the other hand, it seemed like Alex was on the side of magic users. Maybe she could be a good ally.

"Yeah," Alex sighed and swiped at her bangs to get them out of her eyes. She looked at the waitress, "What's your name?"

"Um…Simone. Bennett," She said with a slight smile. "I really can't thank you enough for helping out. I don't know what I'd do if someone started questioning me about all this." Simone admitted, glancing out the window, looking for any sign of detectives coming to the scene.

"You lie through your teeth," Alex responded with a little grin clearly joking around. She looked out the window and saw no one coming, "If everything goes to plan, we should have another twenty minutes before the detectives come. I live not far from here if we want to continue the conversation without having to worry about being questioned."

"Oh…that would be great, thank you. And…I'm not the best liar. I don't think I'd be able to get away with that." Simone replied, slightly shocked by Alex's bluntness.

"I probably would have lied for you," Alex glanced around the room, "All of you. I take your either users or sympathizers by the way you guys were reacting? Don't worry about me spilling, I've got a few… Abilities of my own."

Simone let out a small gasp, then lowered her voice before she spoke. "You of all people should know where talk like that can get you! Do you want all of us to get killed?!"

"I've stopped caring about stuff like that a long time ago," Alex shrugged but lowered her voice to the same volume as Simone, "Let's head to my place and we can keep talking alright? No one would be able to hear us there. Anyone else down for coming?"

Bill shrugged and got up. “Me, if you don’t mind If i tag along, of course.” He looked at the empty restaurant and then at the floor. House keys where lying on the ground and he picked them up. “Looks like someone lost their keys.”

She opened the door and reached for her bag.

Maddie quietly raised her hand, saying, "I'll come too," in a whisper.

"Go where?" She was a bit of a busybody and was curious wanting to know what was going on.

"Somewhere," Alex responded looking at the new girl a little apprehensively, "Would you like to join us?"

"Uhm. . . sure!" She had absolutely no idea what was going on, but she was interested.

"Okay," Alex nodded and looked around the group, "Follow me then."

She started to walk out of the diner checking behind her to see if they all were following.

Bill shrugged and proceeded to follow Alex. He started humming a song right after he stepped foot out of the dinner. He closed his eyes and smiled.

Maddie looked around anxiously, and began to follow Alex, lagging behind Bill, on purpose.
