"What? I am funny…sometimes…" he looked to the side drinking his water. "I can tickle you. That will make you laugh," Raven evilly smirked, holding up his hands.
"What? I am funny…sometimes…" he looked to the side drinking his water. "I can tickle you. That will make you laugh," Raven evilly smirked, holding up his hands.
"No! Please no!" She said quickly pushing herself away.
"I won't right now. When we get home I will tickle you…" he joked evilly. Raven finished his food and wiped his mouth with the napkin. "Ready for Ice cream?"
She grinned. "I always am!" She smiled standing brushing herself off. She ran a hand through her hair and lay a hand on her hip. "How about you?"
"Ready as I'll ever be," he got up paying for the food then walking out with Ira. "Where are we going to get it?"
She slid an arm around his waist. "Not sure, somewhere close by the park though." She smiled warmly at him, the romantic look coming back.
"Cols Stone?" he pointed across the street.
"Sounds yummy." She smiled and kissed his cheek gently.
He looked both ways before crossing and entering the shop. The line wasn't that long maybe, 2 or 3 people in front of them. "Now, we wait.
"Yup, but it's not that long of a line." She noted sliding her hand in his. "Besides I need to decide."
"I'm getting min chocolate chip with Reece's cups, m&ms, and rainbow sprinkles. If you didn't notice I like chocolate…" he trailed off with a light chuckle.
She smiled and snuggled close to him. "I'm a vanilla girl. I'll probably do that with salted Carmel sauce and butterscotch chips."
"Not going to lie. Don't like butterscotch and I hate salted Carmel…" he said quietly. "Mostly because it's too salty. Butterscotch is just not my thing."
(Oof, again doing Birthday stuff! hugs)
"Well more for me." She grinned. "You have to share though- I want a bite of mint chocolate chip." She chuckled.
(Happy birthday! I would sing you a song but….we’ll you know hugs back)
“Mmm fine,” he gave up. Once it was their turn to order, Raven was the first one. “…..oh and leave it all on the top don’t mix it in.”
(It's okie!!)
"Vanilla with salted Carmel and butterscotch chips please." She smiled.
(Thank you though!!!)
(Always!)
The man nodded getting both of their ice cream ready and then set them on the counter. Rave paid for the ice cream and took it from the counter giving Ira hers. “The park now right?”
“Hey, lady before you go. Maybe you can ditch this guy and come hand out with me sometime. He isn’t worth your precious time all he is doing, is waisting it.”
Ira stiffened and her grip tightened. "Excuse me?" She asked turning to the voice. "I don't think you know who you're speaking to like that." She said grinding her teeth.
“Ira…it’s alright, you don’t need to get worked up let’s just go,” he said touching her shoulder. “Don’t provoke him.”
"I'm provoked." She growled pushing his hand away. She handed him her ice cream and walked over to the rude man. "Listen here you bitch." A great way to start the conversation. "You leave me and my fiancé alone. Or else." She snarled.
“Nope, he isn’t worth it! Besides he’s Asian,” he made face of disgust.
Raven gulped and looked down at the floor ashamed. “Ira, can we go?”
Ira felt awful. "I can't- this racist slur- fine…" she sighed turning back to Raven. "Let's go."
“Thank you,” he smiled and kissed her forehead as then walked out. Raven ate his ice cream peacefully, not making eye contact with Ira.
Ira sighed eating hers. "I'm sorry." She whispered squeezing his hand.
He shook his head. “I’m the one who should be sorry. I’m always causing you trouble and making a scene. It’s my fault. You can say it, I know that’s what your thinking.”
She looked up at him a look of shock placed on her face. "You're joking- babe. You aren't the one who publically called someone a bitch and a racist slur. You aren't the one threatening men and having them have no clue I could slit their throats." She said petting his arm.
He kept walking in silence until they got you the park and sat on the swing. “I’m sorry. I’m just stick and tired of people thinking I’m not good enough for you. Your family, my family, my friends, people at work, people who don’t even know me, and your friends. I don’t want to be some guy that they can just push around. I want it to stop. I am worth it. I am good enough, but sometimes I feel like my good enough just isn’t enough…”
"Babe- they look at it from the outside. Those strangers don't see you the way I do. None of them do. You're perfect to me, don't deny it. I love you with all my heart, don't forget that." She said leaning down and Kissing him softly.
“Yeah…I know….I love you too,” Raven looked up with a soft smiled. “I just don’t like being a push over…”
