"Hi," Bridger said dispassionately. "Thanks for all this. Can I help you with something else, or was your entire purpose to drag me kicking and screaming here?"
He couldn't actually hold much of a grudge against this girl, from how little choice Fury had given him, he wouldn't be surprised if she was in a similar situation.
(sorry, ive been really busy the past few days)
"Actually, you weren't kicking and screaming at all. Applying enough pressure to the Vegas nerve knocks you out. So no, you weren't kicking and screaming. In fact, you were very much knocked out and quite unconscious. But yes, it was necessary."

"Thanks, Doctor," he grumbled. "So what do you want? And for how long? I got a life, you know."
That last part wasn't strictly a lie, he told himself. He did have a life, just not any requirements. Not that he wanted them to know that. It could serve in his favor if they thought he would be expected in the world.
"I already told you, you're gonna become one of us," Fury said, tone slightly annoyed. He turned to Blythe. "Blythe, get your dad down here."
"Which one? I have two. Do you want Dad or Papa?"
He glared at her, knowing she was right. "Fine. Just get Natalia."
"She's already here. Do it yourself."
Bridger watched this argument with interest. Perhaps there was more to be gotten away with than he'd originally thought. He tried to match the name he heard to anyone he knew from the avengers, but he realized he didn't know them beyond their superhero names, and the task was impossible.
Nothing to do but wait, he decided.
Fury glared at Blythe, who was daring him to do something. Fury sighed, defeated a little.
"Widow, get in here," He yelled. Luckily for him, Natalia was in the room next door.
"What can I do for you, Director Fury?" Natalia asked. She quickly gave Blythe a hug, being a little bit taller than her niece.
"Hey, my little Iron Soldier," She whispered with a smile on her face.
(Hey, just wanted to say sorry for being absent! I've been super busy, and trying to keep up with all my role-plays has been hard!)
That's Black Widow, Bridger realized with a start. He was getting more and more confused by the second.
(it's fine, I barely noticed cause I've been busy myself)
"You are going to test this man to see what he is made of," Fury replied.
"Are you sure about that?" Natalia responded. "You do know where I was trained."
"Go easy on him. And if you see fit, chuck Blythe in with him."
(Glad to hear I haven't been a nuisance xD Hope you've not been stressed ^^)
Bridger was smart enough to guess what was going to happen. He took a deep breath and forced his panic and confusion down. He'd never be able to properly use his powers if his emotions were all over the place.
(haha stress is my enemy. panic anxiety. ive actually almost had a panic attack at work like two times. fun….)
"Come on kid. What's your name?" Natalia asked.
"It's Bridger," Blythe replied for him. "Look, can we just get this over and done with? I want to go home."
(Oof, I'm so sorry to hear that!! I always know my depression is getting to me when I'm feeling it at work. I hope you'll be okay.)
"I can speak for myself, thanks," Bridger growled. "At least let me do that, if you're going to take away everything else I've got going for me. But sure, shared sentiment. Let's get this over with."
"Follow me, Bridger," Natalia said. She led him to a training room, and Blythe stayed behind.
"Do you really think that that guy is gonna be helpful?" She asked Fury.
"Yes, I truly think he could be a valuable asset. And there's other reasons that don't concern you. Go to the training room."
Bridger sighed and followed Natalia. He didn't quite know what was going on, but he was confident in his abilities to see him through.
(Just fyi, I'm trying to figure out a schedule where I'm replying to my rps at least once every other day, but I have a ton of them, and I'm really busy, so I'm sorry if I'm late sometimes!!)
(it's honestly fine, don't stress. I completely get it. don't push yourself too much)
"So, what are your powers?" Natalia asked Bridger as the three of them walked towards the training room. "Fury wouldn't try and recruit you if there wasn't something special about you."
(Hey, I'm really sorry for having to do this, but I just can't handle the amount of rps I have going. Especially now that college is going to be starting, and I'm going to be picking up a few part-time jobs, too. I'm afraid I'm going to have to back out. I hope you find someone who is in a better situation to commit to take my place! Thanks for the fun while it lasted!)
