Eclipse whimpered when the other got up, reaching for him like a terrified toddler.

(I know, I would never do that to my puppy. He’s cute a precious and mine)
Saayan turned back. “I have to change my shirt darling I’ll be right here,” he said walking two steps before he started to change his shirt with another.

Eclipe himpered softly, curling back in on himself.

Got in the bed scooting close to Eclipse. “See? Not going anywhere.”

Eclipse curled up against him, still crying softly.

“Shhhh….shhhh, I’m right here,” Saayan stroked his hair as he whispered sweet things.

Eclipse calmed eventually, though it seemed to take an eternity. Unfortunately, once he was calm, he still wouldn't sleep.

“Still can’t sleep?” He hummed.

"n-No" answered Eclipse shakily.

“It’s alright. Got anything to take everything off your mind?” He asked.

"N-no…" he whimpered.

“Then, I guess we have to stay here together until we fall asleep. Do you want any snacks? Meat? Chips?” He suggested.

"J-Just you…" he murmured.

Saayan’s face turned from calm to embarrassed and flushed. “Y-You mean cuddles right?”

"Y-Yeah.." he mumbled, not even realizing what he'd insinuated.

“O-Okay,” he took a deep breath while his face was still red. “Christmas is coming up. Is there anything you want to do?”

Eclipse flinched at the word Christmas, fighting down bad memories as his grip on Saayan tightened.

"I'm sorry, we don't have to do anything if it make you uncomfortable," Saayan smiled softly. "For get about that. How about new years?"

That one was even worse. I mean, normally he loved the holidays… but right no there were too many bad memories, memories of how the pack used to celebrate, and what happened when they got drunk….

"For get about that too. Wait, how about we make new memories. Ones that don't make you cry or give you fear. Just us. Nothing else. We can dance, sing, laugh, decorate a tree. I know it's going to be hard, but do you want to give it a try?"

"O-Okay…" he mumbled, "B-but no garland…"

"What's garland?" he raised an eyebrow, confused.

"Fuzzy ro-rope-like stuff, tha-that is used to de-decorate…"

"Sure. We won't use those. How about we pick a tree tomorrow?" Saayan suggested. "If you're up for it."

Eclipse snuggled closer to him, "M-Maybe.."

"Okay," he smiled. Saayan yawned loudly and grunting. "I'm getting tired…I might fall asleep."

Eclipse pressed closer to him, still wide awake.

"Good night, love" he yawned one more time before falling asleep.
