Felix flinched a little at the notion.
"I've never fought a half-wolf before. I didn't know what to expect," he admitted, "I've always stuck to the shadows. Most of the people I've killed didn't know what hit them."
Felix flinched a little at the notion.
"I've never fought a half-wolf before. I didn't know what to expect," he admitted, "I've always stuck to the shadows. Most of the people I've killed didn't know what hit them."
Eclipse nodded, "Understandable…" he murmured, not seeming to notice the other's unease.
"Look, I will try with all I am to protect you, but… but if most half-wolves are worse than that? I don't know how much I can actually do," Felix sighed.
There was an edge of frustration to his voice. He was hurting so bad physically that his mind was starting to cloud over too.
"I… I could maybe try to teach you?" suggeste Eclipse nervously, his voice barely there as he said it.
“Teach me what? How to fight them?” Felix asked, a little surprised.
(smol bump)
"Yeah… at least.. I… I could try?"
“I would appreciate it,” Felix said, “Once I’ve recovered some, that is.”
Eclipse nodded, "Yeah…"
"I may spend some of tonight communing with the earth. It will help me regain my magical strength, and I may be able to heal faster," Felix explained, "So don't worry too much about me. I've got things under control, even if barely."
Eclipse nodded, still seeming uncomfortable.
Felix turned his head to see Eclipse again. Gods, he was sore.
“You alright?”
"Yeah… I'm okay.." he said softly, lost in thought about how he would live up to his offer, and confused over the sense that this was wrong, not realizing that even after everything, those wolves were his pack.
"Okay, if you say so," Felix said, "Let me know if you wanna talk about anything though."
He let down his hair again, running his fingers through the sleek, black strands.
(Alright, what's our next plot point?)
(Not sure… uhm… maybe when they stop that night there's a storm?)
(Okay, that works)
Do you wanna start?
(Okay, I have class in a bit but I’ll start real quick)
Felix had been laying towards the front of the cart. Not much had happened today after the skirmish, which he was grateful for.
But then he heard the low growl of rolling thunder in the distance. At that, he sat a little more upright.
“Eclipse, we need shelter for the night,” he muttered, eying the dark clouds that were beginning to edge closer.
Eclipse nodded, watching the storm clouds warily, clearly not a fan o storms.
Felix sighed.
“If we can find any forest, we need to get in there and build a makeshift shelter.”
Eclipse nodded nervously, "Yeah… I just…" he foced his eyes away from the stormclouds, " don't like storms…"
"Yeah, no… me neither. Let's do what we can to at least minimize any trouble we have to go through. If necessary, I could… well, that would take a bit more magic, so let's try other things first," Felix replied.
Eclipse nodded, biting back a whimper as a low rumble rose in the distance.
"Oh… you're scared of storms…" Felix muttered to himself, "Anything I can do to make you feel better about it? Mine's less of a fear and more of an annoyance."
"N-Not really…"he murmured, pressing back into his corner of the wagon, watching the sky warily.
Felix spotted a treeline when they started over the next hill.
"Alright, I see a place I think we can shelter," he reassured the other.
Eclipse nodded worriedly, still wary of the storm.
The cart soon pulled up to the trees, and Felix carefully climbed out of the cart, eyeing different branches that he might be able to use to build temporary shelter.
“I’ll try my best to shelter you too,” he promised the horses, “I apologize if I can’t.”
Eclipse scrambled out fo the cart, "I-I can try to help too…" he said softly, clarly uneasy.
