Eclipse shook his head softly, but didn't press on the subject. "Riker, Arron, Errol, and Lieze made it out safely, they were the ones who found me after I ran. Lieze went back to the Kevran capitol to take over and keep things smooth, I was forced to go back to Tesh to keep things stable there, and your guards, along with a lot of my forces have been searching for you ever since."
Nik nodded a little. "Okay." he said quietly, leaning his head against Eclipse's chest. He swallowed, closing his eyes for a moment, then opening them again. "I missed you…" he whispered.
"I missed you too.." said Eclipse softly, hugging him. "Every day I hoped that they would find you….." he sighed, "Being a royal sucks, especially when you have to delegate things you don't want to.."
Nik nodded in agreement. "I know. I…I don't think I'm fit to…to rule anymore." He said slowly, avoiding Eclipse's eyes. "A king who can barely function anymore isn't w very good king."
"You don't have to now.." he said softly, "But you have to choose a regent at least." he said softly, hugging him tightly, "You can come back with me if you like?"
"I don't think your kingdom would want me…I killed so many during the war, and…" Nik shuddered a little, holding onto Eclipse desperately.
Eclipse shook his head, "They can deal, you're my soulmate, and nothing will change that." he sighed, hugging him. "Besides, the war is over. Lieze and I have been working on that for weeks."
Nik flinched a little at the hug, going still and his eyes flickering a little. "Okay." he said softly, swallowing hard and trying to stop how he was shaking again, whole body quivering and caught with fear and memories.
Eclipse sighed, hugging him, "Would it help if I shifted?" he asked, trying to be the other's support.
He shrugged a little, still shaking. His throat felt tight. So tight and he was scared and he couldn't stop remembering what they had done to him. He let out a muffled sob, burying his face in Eclipse's chest.
Eclipse simply hugged him, wishing he could make it better. "Do…Do you wanna talk?" he asked finally.
Nik shook his head, shivering a little at the idea. "N-no…" He whispered, clinging to Eclipse as if the male were his lifeline. "I'm s-sorry…this is a-all my fault…a-and…" He was crying again now.
Eclipse's grip on the other tightened, "Nik..hey it's okay…" he held him close, "You don't have to talk… you don't have to do anything.." he sighed, "I'm here, and I'm not leaving.."
"Promise?" Nik whispered, still crying softly. He was clinging to Eclipse desperately. "You promise?" He said again, desperate for Eclipse to stay and not leave him again. He didn't want Eclipse to leave again.
"Promise." he said softly,"I promise.." he was barely holding back his own tears by now as he held the other close, which was about the only thing he could do as he forced himself to stay strong for him.
Nik nodded a little, still crying. "Thank you…" he whispered, swallowing and finding himself unable to stop the tears now. Unable to stop the tears that kept flowing down his face.
"Always.." replied Eclipse softly, holding him tightly as he cried. "Just let it out love… let it out…"
Nik sniffled, still crying softly. Errol poked his head in the tent, and frowned a little bit. He cleared his throat quietly. "I came to check on him." he said softly, gesturing to Nik.
Eclipse looked over at him, and nodded, "Can you let Errol check you over love?" he asked softly, managing to shift them into a sitting position, moving carefully.
Nik clung to him still, and nodded a little. He flinched slightly at the movement. Errol came over, gently putting his hand on Nik's shoulder.
Eclipse kept a close eye on Nik, ignoring Errol for the most part as Nik clungto him.
Errol sighed softly, and examined Nik's left leg gently. He healed it some more. Nik flinched again, a muffled sob leaving his throat as he grabbed at Eclipse.
Eclipse's grip on the other, tightened, "It's okay love, he's just trying to help" he murmured repeatedly.`
Errol finished. "His leg is going to need careful attention. I…I'm worried about internal bleeding, but…" he sighed softly, looking at Nik with soft, worried eyes.
"But what?" asked Eclipse softly, holding Nik closer, watching Errol quietly.
"I don't think it's bad, if there is any, and Nik doesn't need anyone else putting their hands all over him." Errol replied softly.
Nik was crying still, clinging to Eclipse desperately.
Eclipse nodded, "Yeah" he said, distracted by trying to get Nik to calm down.
Errol bit his lip. "Later…come talk to me so I can tell you what happened." He said quietly.
Nik was shaking, hands fisted into Eclipse's shirt.
Eclipse nodded, "Sure" his tone was slightly sarcastic as he tried to comfort Nik, giving Errol a look that said, You seriously expect me to leave him like this?
"Look, either you come to me later, or I have to tell you in front of him, which would not be good for his mental health." Errol said, catching the tone and look.
Nik took a shaky breath, the breath catching in his lungs.
