Henry quickly grabbed Betty's wrist, trying to gently remove it from Tyler's throat. ”Stop it, Betty. This isn't like you.” he said softly but firmly.
Lysander glared at Tyler. ”Don't pretend to know what I think or feel. I care about Elizabeth more than anything else in the world! I would rather die first than hurt her!” he snarled, his own fangs showing.
"Henry don't even try " her gaze shifted back to tyler " say one wrong thing Tyler I tear you because I'm feeling kind of hungry" Betty said

Henry closed his eyes, as those words hurt more than any physical blow he had experienced in a very, very long time. Hell, a canon hurt less than that accusation. He let go of her arm and stepped away. ”I never wanted to do that.” he said softly, almost barely audible. ”I’m sorry that you don't trust me anymore… I guess I deserve it but… I literally had no choice. I know that's not an excuse either but…” he sighed, not looking at anyone.

Lysander looked at Betty with concern and impressed surprise. ”Nice control of your strength.” he commented. ”You could have broken her neck otherwise. When did you practice?”
Henry winced at the sound of the hit but he forced himself not to move yet.

Lysander gave a small smile at Betty's wolf comment but ran to stop her when she said she was leaving. ”I care. It's not even noon yet, the sun will only get worse for us.” he warned her with his hand against the door.
”I’ll leave. It's obvious I’m not welcome here. I wouldn't be surprised if I was never welcomed back again.” Henry said still looking down, hiding the watery look in his eyes.
Betty sighed, there's only one way she was going to get out of here "no one is leaving except me" she looked at her fiance " I want to go home I want to be with my brothers and my dad cuz they're all I have left now they're the only ones that care there's only one who loved me so please just let me go home I'm begging you"Betty said starting to cry she didn't want to leave but she had to do what she had to do to keep her family safe so she wouldn't end up killing her father.

Lysander sighed. He could tell she was upset and using that to convince him to let her go. And it was working. ”I don't suppose I could convince you to wait until sunset?” he asked, already suspecting her answer.
She shook her head she took his hand in her own placing the ring in his palm closing her fingers
Lysander didn't protest when she took the sun ring as he would have given it to her anyways. ”Be careful, my love.” he said gently stroking her cheek before kissing her goodbye. ”You will come back, won’t you?” he asked with pleading eyes.

Before she had a chance to answer, Charles opened the door with his own ring glinting on his finger. ”Is everything alright?” he asked far too smooth and calm.
Betty turned around and flashed her fangs " you fucking asshole" she said
Lysander and Henry took a step away from the door as the sun came in but were very surprised at Betty's actions towards Charles… Even if they agreed with the sentiment. ”Why are you here, Charles?” Lysander asked coldly, very suspicious of the convenient appearance of the elder vampire.
”I could tell my boys were unhappier than normal lately and came to check on you.” was Charles’ serene reply.
Henry glared angrily at the floor, not trusting to look at his… once father. ”You know exactly why I’ve been miserable, you bastard.” he growled softly.

Lysander blinked in slight surprise. He had suspected that was what happened to Henry but…
”His was a test. And he failed.” Charles told Betty, frowning slightly. Which was actually an impressive feat for Charles as he rarely showed much expression. ”I suppose he doesn't care about you as much as I thought.” he turned his full gaze upon Betty. ”You were much harder to reach. True, I didn't turn you but one of mine did so I still have some influence. You need to go home and see your blood family. No tricks, you just need to spend time with them and get your head straight.” his voice was sincere by the end.

”WHAT?!?” Lysander and Henry asked in complete shock, Henry finally snapping his head up to look at Charles.
Charles looked at his boys and the two girls, though his gaze lingered on Tyler for a second longer. ”I have two reasons but first let me say that I know nothing can stop an Eternal pair.” he told them. ”My reasons for interfering at this time are that right now Betty is, regrettably, dangerous due to her darker side and she needs time to calm down and control it. The second is that she needs to speak with her wolf of a father. He may not live as long as we do but it would be unwise for you to marry until you convince him that you are no passive object to be passed off for his benefit.” he addressed Betty specifically.

Charles sighed, running his fingers through his short salt and pepper hair. ”Is that what your father told you?”

Charles raised a brow at her request but shook his head. ”Even if I did, it would not last. Sooner or later you would remember again.”
