Evan stayed at the main center of the gala
At first, everyone just stayed away from Jack. Suddenly, he starts being less of a stranger and more of an entertainer. Playing games, and making jokes. At one time, he even used his dark essence time create animals and made them dance. He showed the whole kingdom just how much of a human he was. He came back to Evan, with light in his spirit, and asked her to dance with him.
Evan smiled and took his offered hand with a smile.
They danced together in pride. They twirled around as everyone began to join. Jack took a look at the King and Queen and saw a true, genuine happiness in them. For a single moment, he felt at peace.
I'd never thought I would ever be happy, he thought, I thank you, Evan.
before he noticed, the words "Thank you," exited his mouth
Evan smiled " I didn't do anything Jack" she said.
He smiled, "It's getting late. Perhaps I should go." he smiles, looking at all around him. He saw families who ended up thinking him as a friend. He looks at Evan, beautiful, and just as different as he was. He looks up to see a man staring at him. He stook to the shadows. "Yes, I should go."
Evan frowned " okay thank you for . . . For being my date" she said.
He stops and turns slightly, smiles "It was my pleasure…" he races back into the woods where he would sleep another night.
*The Next Day
Evan was in the woods she had to gather food for her father and she had her cape on and her now and arrow
Jack was seen, in a blood stained shirt. He wore simple clothing, unlike the usual heavy gear and cloak. He walked over to the river and drank from it.
She'd been in the woods when a wolf attacked her she was limping he had bit her thigh and it wasn't healing like usual
Jack jumped up when he heard the wolf and hurried over. He saw Evan and was surprised. "please sit down."
" I'm fine" she said limping forward
He sits her down by a tree. He gathers mud and leaves, bandaging her wound. "Next time, don't lie." he stands her up, "What did this?"
" some wolf" she said frustrated " I'm fine " she growled. Her eyes changing.
He backed off, smiling, "fine! I'll back away." his left eye turns red, "but I'm only here to help…" he turns away, removing his shirt and puts on a cleaner one.
Her eyes turned normal she sighed " I'm sorry I just" before she finished she sped off not wanting to upset him
Later on, Jack was seen at the local vendors in the kingdom. He was admiring the shops as he gave a little boy a necklace, "Your mother is going to love it, good choice!"
Evan still hadn't been back and it had been quite a few hours she laid in the forest bleeding from her thigh and neck.
Jack looked all over, wandering where Evan was. Afraid, Jack hurried back into the woods…
he saw Evan lying there. in order to prevent a back look, he took her to his home, a cabin. He stitched her up and layed her in a bed, covered up in a soft bear pelt blanket. he sat in a chair, waiting for her to wake up…
Evan was asleep and whimpered curling up in a ba
Jack smiles and sung softly
"There she was from the sky,
An angel landed before my eyes,
As she looked up and began to cry,
I comforted throughout the night.
Sleep little angel, close your eyes
For in the morning, there is the light,
Where no darkness can take you down
And evil can not come around
Spread your wings and jump so high
And believe in yourself and….fly"
He went outside to get wood. Before he did, he made a vine crown with flowers and set on a table next to the bed. Hoping she would wake up soon.
Evan turned in her sleep wimpering once again from the pain.
Jack returned, bringing in a huge amount of wood. He saw Evan still unconscious, but in a different position. He attempted to wake her up
Evan slowly opened her eyes putting a hand to her neck.
He smiles. "You should lay easy for a while." He heads outside once more, "fancy a meal?"
She rubbed her head with a groan " I don't think eating is such a good idea for me right now" she said
"fair enough," he says. He frowned slightly, "you weren't healing… almost bled to death."
" well luckily you found me " she said with a gentle smile.
