"I umm I thought that you hated me. It was just easier to ignore my feelings. In my head Id got too attached anyway." she looked up at Aurelie.
"I umm I thought that you hated me. It was just easier to ignore my feelings. In my head Id got too attached anyway." she looked up at Aurelie.
"Oh," Aurelie responded, gaze softening a bit. She blushed again, her rosy cheeks obvious against her light skin. "I didn't hate you, and I don't hate you now. I was just angry at you for lying."
"I umm I kind of get that now. I'm still really sorry for lying," She said trying to smile.
“It’s okay, I understand why you lied now, even if was really angry over it,” Aurelie said, pressing a soft kiss to Cat’s lips before moving back.
Cat moved forward slightly following Aurelie’s lips but then moving back. “You do?”
"Well, I'm trying to, anyway," she admitted, still blushing. She offered an uncertain smile.
Cat nodded. “Thank you,” she said giving her a quick kiss and then pulling away.
Aurelie smiled wider. “Of course.” She barely stopped herself from adding ”anything for you” which would have been beyond embarrassing.
She looked over at the beach area and their clothes. "We should probably get out and try to dry off," she suggested backing up slightly but reaching down and holding her hand.
Aurelie nodded, a bit sad it was over already, though she had to admit she was a bit cold now. Her nose and cheeks were probably turning pink from the chill as she took Cat’s hand. “Okay.”
Cat walked out of the lake. "I'm going to make a small fire," She said once they were on the bach.
Aurelie nodded, shivering slightly. “A fire would be nice.”
Cat nodded gathering some dry wood. She sat down on some sand and grabbed her dress.
Aurelie went and got her dress as well, shaking the sand off of it. She decided to wait until her underclothes were mostly dry to put it back on. There was no sense getting it wet or dirtier than it already was.
Cat didn’t put her dress on. Instead she went through her pocket for a box of matches. She lit one and lit the Pile of wood. Starting a small fire.
Aurelie quickly went and sat near the fire. She wrung out her dripping hair with a sigh. "This is going to take forever to dry."
(So sorry didnt realize I accidentally didnt reply)
Cat giggled and put her own slowly drying her in a bun. "Yep but if we stay close our clothes should be dry soon.
(‘tis fine aha)
“Yeah,” she agreed. “Sometimes I wish I could my hair to my chin. Then it wouldn’t be such a pain.” She smiled softly, looking at the ground.
”you’d look cute with short hair,” she said smiling softly.
Aurelie blushed. “You really think so? When I suggested it to my father, be acted like it was a horrible idea so I never brought it up again. I don’t think he’s let me cut it since I was really little.”
“Doesn’t seem like you really care what he thinks,” she said moving closer to her so they where sitting side by side.
“Why? Because I like girls?” she asked, her face open and curious. “Or is it because I try to skip my classes?” She giggled. “Either way, sometimes I care more than I would like to admit.”
She nodded. “Makes sense,” she admits. Sitting probably closer to the fire than she should but it was drying her off pretty quick.
Aurelie scooted a bit closer to the fire, copying Cat. “This feels nice,” she sighed. Her long hair was finally beginning to dry.
”yeah it does.” Once Cat felt like she was set enough she put on her clothes.
Aurelie hung out a little bit longer in her underclothes, in no hurry to put her heavy dress back on, especially since the ends of her hair were still quite damp. She kept sitting by the fire, humming softly to herself.
Cat smiled and sat back down. Crossing his legs and looking into the fire.
Aurelie glanced over at Cat affectionately, smiling at her. For the first time in several days, she felt happy.
Cat looked over at her. “Can I kiss you again?” She asked moving closer.
“Yes,” Aurelie breathed quietly, nodding in affirmation. She moved closer as well.
