(night!)
Delia nodded, feeling the same way but wanting to get away from here, "We really just need to get to another town, but that means following the road."

@gracehustle

"For now where should we go then?" She asked, looking around before motioning in a random direction and a forest, "Maybe into woods again is a good idea, then we're semi hidden."

@gracehustle

She nodded and walked beside him, already adjusted back to surviving in the wild. A much bigger explosion sounded and Delia almost turned around, forcing her feet to move away from the scene. There was nothing she could to anyway besides survive and get back at the aliens by destroying that ship.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay kept walking. "Was it the aliens?" he asked, pressing his lips into a thin line as he asked. He almost didn't want to hear the answer, knowing it would be a yes.

@gracehustle

"Well I doubt humans would bomb a base full of humans when the world is in this state of disaster," She replied, sadness clear in her voice. All the lives lost was what bothered her the most. She could care less about the damage they did, but so many good people were probably killed it pained her and she knew the event would be on her mind for at least a few days.

@gracehustle

Delia continued on though, listening to leo's whines instead of the destruction and mentally cursing the aliens. She wished she could just snap her fingers and make everything better or even just do something simple like send a rocket into the sky at the ship.

@gracehustle

Delia continued on and led them through the forest, now going over their argument in her head. When he had refused to leave her was the part that stuck the most. Maybe he did care for her more than she thought, and that brought the question of how much she cared for him and what these new feelings towards him were.

@gracehustle

She mentally told herself it wasn't true though, she couldn't develop feelings for the kind she was supposed to be fighting against, even as human as he actually was he was still one of them. Her eyes trailed the uneven ground to make sure she wasn't going to fall, especially with crutches and a heavy pack on her back.

@gracehustle

Delia could barely hear Jay's questions, but she did hear them, making her think about if he really could be the reason the drones came to the base. "I'm not going to lie to you, Jay, you might be the reason they came there," She said, her voice just as soft as his and her eyes staying focused on the ground, "We might never know, maybe you were the reason the other guy like you came to the town before too, but we'll probably never know."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay shrugged a little bit, shaking his head. "My best bet would be to just go to the Canadian wilderness and wait this whole shit out. Eventually I'll die somehow, or that damn programming will activate and it won't matter anymore."

@gracehustle

She shook her head immediately, knowing it wasn't her decision but talking anyway, "Running from this whole thing isn't going to help, as soon as they activate whatever is in your head you'll come marching back anyway. What we need to do is get to that ship and get them to deactivate that programming in your head before blowing the thing sky high and away from here."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay glanced at her. "That's impossible. Besides, figuring out a way to die would fix the problem just as easily." he couldn't commit suicide, though. He had tried. Twice. The programming had an extra little bit that kept him from being able to finish the deed.

@gracehustle

"It's only impossible because no one has been able to do it yet," She replied, looking over to him and leo momentarily before focusing back on her footing, "And dying isn't going to help anything. at least help me find a way into the ship before attempting your death."

@gracehustle

Delia looked over at him again, now curious, "It isn't what? You've been there? Can you tell me what it's like at least? The layout and things like that?"

@gracehustle

"I know that, it's not going to be easy," She pressed, her pace picking up a little more as they continued through the trees, "What do you remember about it?"

@gracehustle

Delia searched her memory for a minute before nodding, remembering the conversation earlier, "Alright, one question though, will you take care of Leo if I attempt this?" It wouldn't be a while until she tried to break into the ship, needing her leg to heal first, but she wanted to make sure Leo would be taken care of. That was banking on the fact that Jay's programming wouldn't turn on or she wouldn't be killed.

@gracehustle

"He can ride in my pack if you don't want to listen to him Jay," She offered when she heard him sigh. Her eyes flicked back to the ground for a minute before she turned to look at them both, her pace slowing to a brisk but casual walk that she could keep up for a while.
