Icarus took a deep breath and dove down into a nearby reef, exploring around the ocean floor for treasures.

Celeste floated by, letting the water soothe her. She noticed two other vaguely humanoid creatures, similar to herself, chatting nearer the floor, and she decided to join them. “Hey, how’s it going?”

(Did you mean Goal and May?)

(Yes)

Lighthouse continued to swim around idly, doing his best not to smack any creatures with his tail on accident as he went. He went back to the coral and almost rammed into a small creature diving for the ocean floor. Or, well, small to him, as the creature wasn't taller than his nose

"Ah" Icarus let out a surprised click and swam back to avoid running into this huge snake-like creature. "Sor-y" He tried communicated with the creature with a short trill.

(Lighthouse is more of a giant water snake than anything but ok lol) "M-My apol-l-logies," Lighthouse said with a burst of static. "I d-d-idn't see you."

Tara flitted around the cove, looking for something to do. The day wasn't particularly exciting to her. In the distance she saw a few others beginning to gather and talk (for plot development lol). She hid in some thick seaweed and waited for the right opportunity to scare one of them.

"It's o-k" Icarus burst out, unsure of what he should think of the snake creature.

Lighthouse played a clip of a recording. "I come in peace. I come in peace," it played. "I-I-I have no reas-son to ha-a-rm you."

Taking this as her chance, Tara swam quickly behind someone talking to some sort of snake.
"But I might," she whispered from behind the smaller of the two.

Without warning, a small blip appeared on Lighthouse's sonar. He made a few small clicking sounds, turning in the direction of the disturbance. "H-H-Hello?"

Marai swam around, not really expecting to find anyone. It was a shock when she found a couple of creatures near the ocean floor. She giggled silently as someone scared them. Not being able to withhold her curiosity, she swam up to them, waving.

(lol, sorry if this is a cringy way to introduce her, but yeah)

(it works lol) Lighthouse cocked his head as another blip appeared on his sonar. "Hell-l-lo?" he repeated

Only now realizing that she had to speak, Marai just kept grinning. Waving once more, she signed "Hello. What is your name?" She wondered, however, if he could even read sign language.

(COUGH RED COUGH)
Tara thought she could add this new person into the mix as well. The snake had sensed her, but had yet to identify her. In a quick moment she came behind the mermaid, setting a tentacle on her shoulder. That usually always creeped people out and was honestly quite hilarious to her.

Lighthouse snaked his way closer to Marai, trying his best not to scare her with how big he was. He played another voice recording, this one saying "Designation Lighthouse, pleased to make your acquaintance."

Marai spun around at the touch, and almost screamed. She clamped a hand over her mouth to cover her yelp, she saw a part-squid. Sighing in relief, she laughed silently.

(I'm in class but I'm done for the day so I've got nothing to do lol) Lighthouse let out a staticy laugh. "T-T-There you ar-re."

Tara narrowed her eyes at the mermaid. She seemed scared, but she was kind of hoping for a startled yell.

Tara turned toward the large snake and gave a small salute while smirking.

Lighthouse played the clip of his name again, making a low clicking noise that sounded vaguely like a greeting

"Tara, and uh, likewise," she responded.
