She panicked locking the bathroom door. "Never better!" She shouted, nervousness dripping from her tone. Her heart was pounding. Why couldn't she just calm down??
She panicked locking the bathroom door. "Never better!" She shouted, nervousness dripping from her tone. Her heart was pounding. Why couldn't she just calm down??
"Alright," he smiled and continued his cooking. "I'll let you know when dinner's ready!"
(What do you mean by she licked the bathroom door? XD)
(…DANG IT AUTO CORRECT!!!)
She traced her lip with her thumb. "Alright babe." She half shouted. She had iced her lip but it was still swollen. She gently layered lipstick on her lip wincing a bit. She lay it aside, and pulled out concealer and padded urban on trying to make it seem normal, because if she didn't he would ask hard questions she couldn't lie about.
He finished in no time setting the table with plates of food. "Finner's ready hun," he said knocking on the bathroom door.
She slowly unlocked the door and pulled it open. "OK babe…" she whispered stepping out.
"You okay?" he asked placing his hands on Ira's cheeks.
She winced at his touch, but did her best to recover. "I'm fine." She said as calm as she could.
"Good," he smiled and pecked her lips and walking to the table.
She winced again as soon as he had turned around. making sure her lip wasn't bleeding, she gently tapped it pulling her thumb away clean. She mentally sighed and followed behind him. "So what's for dinner?"
"Fried noodles, with a spice to it," he smiled, starting to eat, were you careful today?"
She choked slowly eating. "What do you think?" She asked trying to subtly avoid the question.
"I'm thinking you weren't," he raised his hand showing Ira the makeup on his hands. "Since when do you wear this much makeup?"
She bit her thumb nail nervous. "I- just thought I'd try something new out is all." She said thinking on the spot.
"You know you don't have lie to me right and that you're really bad at lying right?" he asked with a chuckle. "I'm not mad or anything like that. If anything I'm worried about you. I love you and I don't want you to feel like you have to his things from me. Trust me okay?"
She sighed, and walked to him, hugging him tight. "I couldn't do it, it was a child. She was so young- I refused and the man who hired me didn't like that answer." She cried hugging him tight.
"I'm glad that you didn't kill the girl and decided morally what to do. If you look like this what happen to the other guy?" he asked.
She pulled away and gave him a soft smile. "Like normal, I was out numbered, and he let his croons do his dirty work." She said pulling away, her cheeks streamed with dark mascara. She honestly didn't care, she was only glad Raven didn't get upset.
"Now, let's wash that makeup off and take care of those wounds yeah?" he smiled getting up from the table. He went into the bathroom and then came back out with a medkit. "Ready?"
She nodded after rubbing off her makeup from the tap at the kitchen sink. It wasn't all gone but it was good enough. She sat on the edge of the table, waiting for him to patch her up with his tender fingers.
He took some disinfectant and started to tap her cheek lightly. "Hold still okay, it's going to burn," he smiled lightly being careful.
She nodded barely and bit the inside of her cheek. She felt the burning sensation, and she wanted to cry out, but didn't. She kept quiet with her eyes shut.
"Done," he put a bandaid on her cheek. He then put a cream on his finger as he started to spread across her lips.
She stuck her lip out some so she wouldn't get any in her mouth. She opened her eyes carefully, and watched the concentration on his face. The small kindness was so sweet. "I think I remember the reason I fell in love with you." She whispered.
"You should rember that all the time," he joked.
"But I mean it." She said tenderly. "I feel the same right now as the day we met. Your kindness and gentleness. It will melt a girl." She said reaching her hand up to his cheek gently petting it.
"The only girl I plan on melting is you," he smiled, kissing her forehead. "Where else did they hit you?"
She lifted her shirt to show a gash she had patched up already. "Here, but it was deep, so I took care of it." She said smiling.
"Good, I'm glad you're all better," he smiled placing a kiss on her forehead. "Next time you get hurt like this you better tell me, okay?"
She sighed and pet his head. "As long as you will still love me." She said sliding off the counter into his arms.
