Bryn let out a soft sound of discomfort when the compress was taken away and resettled himself in Sebastian's lap. "Fine. Your man… um… your disciplinarian uses soft whips so… nothing too bad now that it's been numbed."
Bryn let out a soft sound of discomfort when the compress was taken away and resettled himself in Sebastian's lap. "Fine. Your man… um… your disciplinarian uses soft whips so… nothing too bad now that it's been numbed."
Sebastian nodded his head slowly, wincing at the word. Disciplinarian his ass.
"But it's still going to bruise, right?" He said slowly.
"Yeah, and it's gonna be a bitch to heal. Bones I can do real quick but bruises are fucking…" He trailed off, shaking his head with a mixture of annoyance and sadness. "… They take forever. And they're just awful to sleep on, I'm gonna have to be on my belly for ever."
"So if there was a way to make them heal faster… you'd do it?" Sebastian asked, still trying to veil what he was really saying with well-chosen words. He puts his arms lightly around Bryn, careful of his back.
Bryn hummed, too relieved by the comfort of the numbness and the way Sebastian was holding him to think about what he was saying. "Of course. 'M not stupid, I'd like to feel better faster."
"Then…" Oh god, Sebastian hated saying this, and it showed on his face. "You'd go with me to see D-the doctor?"
Bryn tensed automatically when he saw Sebastian's face get all worried and then grimaced when he mentioned the doctor. "No," he shot out automatically, practically feeling her cold hands running across his vulnerable skin. "No, I don't wanna see her."
"Bryn," Sebastian said softly, "Why not?" He knew Bryn basically hated her, but if he knew why he might be able to fix it.
Bryn bit his lip, turning his eyes away from Sebastian slightly. "She… she reminds me of my old master. I don't like it."
Sebastian's eyes widened slightly. He hadn't known that.
"We won't go see her," he promised, "Not unless it's an emergency. And even then…" He pulled Bryn closer.
"I'm never gonna force you to visit her," he said.
Bryn let out a shaky breath of relief, curling up against Sebastian. "Thank you. Thank you so much, I just… her hands are so cold and she's… she's mechanical and… I don't like it."
(Hey, I have an idea I'd like to ask you about)
Sebastian nodded, holding him close.
"I understand," he said gently, resting his head lightly on Bryn's shoulder.
(Sure, go right ahead.)
"Thank you." His voice was very small and he curled up more closely against Sebastian's chest.
(What if Bryn's past owner was associated with/related to Sebastian? Perhaps even someone Sebastian likes/ is cordial with)
Sebastian's hand went up to hold Bryn's cheek. He hated Bryn being reminded of his past owner; he didn't want to see Bryn like this.
(Oh HELL YEAH!!! Maybe a friendly uncle or a friend he likes hanging with but hasn't seen in a while?)
Bryn let his eyes flutter shut and he pressed his face into Sebastian's hand. "I… um… I don't wanna think. Could you distract me?"
(if we go the uncle route, I've got two words: Family. Reunion.)
"Of course," Sebastian said. The first thing he did was kiss Bryn. He didn't want to talk right away, mostly because he's thought there wasn't something fascinating about himself to talk about. He wanted to tell Bryn everything about himself, but he didn't want to bore Bryn either.
(I love it and I'm very excited!)
Bryn kissed back, slow and soft until he pulled away. "That's nice, but… I just wanna talk, if that's okay? I… um… I wanna know about you."
Sebastian sighed.
"I figured." He shrugged. " My life is pretty boring. I'm in kickboxing, obviously. And schooling. Usually though, I just stay at home and chat online or go visit CC. It's not much."
"Well, you've got me to jazz up your life now. And… that can't really be it, Sebastian. There has to be something more." Bryn snuggled closer to Sebastian, turning his best puppy dog eyes up at the human. "Please tell me."
"Yes, that's true," Sebastian chuckled with a smile. "And I'm glad I do." He thought for a moment.
"Well… I did lose my mom at a young age. Car accident. She was going to stay with a friend after she and my father got in a fight."
Bryn frowned and leaned up to kiss him softly. "That's horrible, Sebastian. I'm sorry." His voice was soft and empathetic. He clearly knew what it was like to feel loss. "How old were you when it happened?"
"Seven," Sebastian said quietly. He leaned his head lightly on Bryn after they kissed.
"Sometimes I can't remember her face, or the sound of her voice, and… it scares me."
Bryn pressed his forehead against Sebastian's, gently wrapping his arms around his neck to pull him closer. "You were so young," he murmured. "i… I can't imagine how it must feel to forget her."
"I just… I feel horrible whenever I can't. Like I'm losing her again." Sebastian held Bryn close, eyes closed.
"Cause it's like everyone else has already forgotten her. I- it feels like if I forget her, it's like she never existed."
Bryn reached up to pet his hair, pursing his lips with sympathy. "Hey, I… I know I can't help all the way, but… you could tell me about her. Demons have perfect recall, so… maybe I could help you hold onto her. Remind you about what she looked like and stuff."
Sebastian leaned into Bryn's hand, giving him a sad smile.
"Really? Thank you…" He took a deep breath before beginning.
"It's- It's fuzzy, but… brown hair. It was really fuzzy, too, and big. She looked tall, but… shorter than my dad."
Bryn nodded, trying to picture the woman Sebastian cared so much about. "She sounds pretty. do… um… do you have any pictures of her? Or… maybe voice recordings or videos?"
"Uh, yeah." Sebastian reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone. He brought up a slightly grainy video. It was of him, perhaps six years old, and his mother. She had big, mousy brown hair, and grey eyes.
"Hey~! It's-" the video buzzed a bit. It had obviously been downloaded from an old recorder.
Bryn smiled, pecking him on the cheek before he shifted in his human's lap so he could get a better view without straining his back. Sebastian's mom was pretty, and Sebastian seemed to have inherited her easygoing smile. "How old are you in this?" He asked excitedly, trying to get a better look at baby Sebastian.
"This is just before my sixth birthday," Sebastian admitted, blushing at Bryn's eagerness. After some more buzzing and static, the video continued.
"-How old are you gonna be, Sebby?" Sebastian's mother asked. Sebastian was smiling, happy and carefree.
"Sith!" He said happily.
Sebastian buried his head in Bryn's shoulder, embarrassed. Still, he kept one eye on the video, smiling slightly from behind his blush.
