Asher smiled a little bit, and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
Asher smiled a little bit, and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
Arabella hummed in delight, closing her eyes with a bright smile. She loved the kisses she received from him.
Asher held her close, resting his head on hers after a moment. He was quiet, eyes closed.
Arabella snuck a look at his face, memorizing each detail like it would be her last time seeing him. He was handsome for sure.
She was lucky it had been him she was married to. He wasn’t so bad, none of it was really.
The more she looked at him the more she became aware of a warmth growing in her chest.
Asher took a deep breath, opening his eyes and catching her looking. "Uhm. Do you need something?" He asked, arching an eyebrow at her curiously.
Arabella blushed a faint pink and shook her head. “No! Sorry!” She suddenly turned her gaze to their feet, a sheepish laugh leaving her lips.
Asher laughed softly. "Mm. Alright." He replied. He glanced over at the oven to check how long was left for the cookies.
Only a few more minutes before they were done. Arabella could smell them now, her eyes lifting to look back at the kitchen. “They’re almost done…”
Asher nodded. "Mhm. And then we can eat the– I mean, deliver them." He chuckled softly, looking down at her with a smile.
Arabella raised an eyebrow at him but laughed gently. "You can eat a few. But only a few, okay?"
Asher smiled at her. "Mmm…fine." he replied, kissing her forehead gently, then letting go of her to get out the cooling racks for the cookies.
She smiled warmly and watched him for a moment, once again admiring him as a person before she moved to help him.
Asher set up the cooling racks carefully, finding the gloves so he could get the cookies out, too.
Arabella moved to find a spatula or something of the sort to remove the cookies off the pan when they came out.
Asher waited, hands on his hips as he waited for the oven to beep.
(Sorry, my classes are getting tough)
She chuckled at his stance and poked his side as she passed. “You look like a concerned mother.” She teased
(it's fine!)
Asher laughed a little bit. "Who, me?" He asked. He shook his head. "Thanks for that, I suppose."
“Yes you.” Arabella smiled at him for a moment, her eyes softening. She pulled the cookies out once the oven beeped and let out a happy sound.
Asher grabbed a spatula and waited a few minutes for them to cool down a bit, then started putting the cookies on the cooling rack.
Arabella snatched one from the cooling wrack, taking a bite and winking at him. “These are pretty good.”
Asher laughed, taking one for himself. "Oh, they are." He agreed after he ate some of it, smiling over at Arabella.
Arabella beamed at him, moving to lean against his shoulder. “I love sweets.”
Asher smiled. "Me too." he agreed, putting an arm around her.
Arabella hummed happily at the touch, looking around the kitchen. “Have you cooked a lot of meals?”
Asher shook his head. "Nope. There are servants who do the cooking on the days when I'm actually home to eat." He replied with a soft chuckle. "I am a hopeless cook."
"I didn't know you could have servants who cook for you still. My mother always did the cooking." She admitted. "Is it nice not having to worry about it?"
Asher shrugged. "Yeah, you can. And yes, it is. Though they only make them at predecided times, so if i'm late, I have to heat it up again." he chuckled softly.
She laughed softly with him. "Try not to be too late to dinners. And make sure you do eat. It's important." She chastised, smiling softly.
Asher laughed. "Mm. I know, I know." he replied, kissing her forehead gently.
Arabella nuzzled her head under his chin and hugged him tightly. “I know you know, but will you promise me?”
