Aliana looked at him her face paling a little, "Tigers? Do, do you think we'll run into something like that?"
Aliana looked at him her face paling a little, "Tigers? Do, do you think we'll run into something like that?"
"maybe." Hatta shrugged, glancing at her, then back at the pathway. "I don't know."
"So it could be better it could be worse," Aliana thought of her nightmare and shuddered a little. It wasn't going to be like that, "Good to know."
Hatta nodded. "Yes. But everything in the maze belongs there, and nothing that doesn't belong can get in. The jabberwock, for instance, cannot."
Aliana looked at her feet then up at him with big eyes, "It can't. Your a hundred percent sure it can't. But wait. How do we know I can get in?"
"It can't." He frowned a little. "Well. That I don't know." he thought for a moment.
"So I might not even be able to get in," Aliana said in a small voice, "What happens then?"
"I put you in my hat and sneak you in." Hatta replied in a perfectly serious tone.
Aliana let out a slight bubble of laughter at that comment, "Really? Are you sure I wouldn't get lost in the void that is the inside of your hat?"
Hatta grinned. "Nope." He replied. "But I could just pull you out." He shrugged, still grinning.
Aliana let out another laugh, "Of course. But what if I hide in the hat to stay out of danger?"
"Hm…I'll be forced to empty the entire thing to get you out." Hatta replied easily, the grin still plastered on his face.
"Of course you would," Aliana was still grinning, "But I would be the very last thing you grab."
Hatta rolled his eyes. "Yes, probably." he replied, shaking his head.
"Sorry," Aliana responded on reflex to his eye roll, "I would maybe not be last."
"No, don't apologize." he replied. "Don't worry about it."
"Oh, okay," Aliana was almost tempted to apologize for apologizing.
"But yeah. The maze will be… interesting." Hatta said.
"That's one way of putting it," Aliana muttered.
Hatta chuckled softly, and kept walking.
Aliana had a tenative smile on as they continued on. She felt a bit better about the maze, but still was wary.
Hatta began to whistle again. The pathway was slowly becoming less overgrown and more clear.
Aliana watched as the pathway cleared and her worries slowly started to grow again, "This is going to work right?"
"Hopefully." Hatta replied with a quick shrug. "If it doesn't, then Wonderland gets eaten by a big monster."
"And I don't want that," Aliana responded quickly confirming her head.
"Well duh. I don't think anyone wants that." Hatta laughed, shaking his head a little.
Aliana blushed slightly as she scratched at her neck, "Yeah. I was just trying to get myself ready."
Hatta smiled. "Yeah, I know. Don't worry so much. Everything will be fine." he replied, still walking along the pathway.
"I can't help it," Aliana was able to walk with him, but it felt like the whole area was getting colder. At least it did to her, "I'm someone who worries that everything will go wrong when it can."
Hatta shrugged slightly. "Maybe don't worry so much, then? I don't know. Just go with the flow a little more."
