"Business? I have no business." Alyssa told Cade, pulling out her own dagger from her sleeve.

"Then why are you here?"

"I believe I already answered that question."

Cade made some noise between a growl and a groan. "Wow, you're annoying."

Alyssa shrugged. "So are you." She silently retreated into the shadows again since no one else seemed to have anything to say.

Chiara rolled her eyes, pulled out her crossbow, and pointed it at Alyssa. “What do you want?”

"There is nothing I want nor could you give me. I grew up in the streets of Cadez. I still live on the streets. I need nothing."

Chiara scoffed. “Mio dio. Why are you hear then?”

"I take care of the people of Cases as a shadow guardian. When someone needs something like medicine but can't get it, I do." Alyssa said, retreating farther into the shadows.

Cade lowered his knife a little. "I've heard of you…" He tried to think back to when.

With a flick of her finger, Chiara shot three arrows from her crossbow. They imbedded themselves in the wall next to Alyssa’s head.

"Oh I'm so scared." Alyssa said sarcastically. " I mean it's not like I've been beaten to the brink of death before. "

Chiara rolled her eyes and gripped the girl by the collar. “So why are you here next to us?”

Alyssa looked completely bored when Chiara grabbed her by the collar. But inside, she was slightly freaking out. "I don't know. I saw you. Something about you is making the back of my brain tickle like I should know you from somewhere. So I followed you. I still don't know why you feel familiar."

Breeze saw how they were reacting to the other girl, so she chose to not speak.

Chiara paused, setting her down and looking her over. Come to think of it…. she had seen this girl before. “I see.”, she drawled, looking much more unfazed than she was inside. “You from around here then?”

"No. Cadez is my home city. I'm here to get a medicine for one of the girls in Cadez, something I can only get here."

“Cardez is my home city too.” Chiara squinted at Alyssa, looking her over again.

They probably met each other and don't remember, Breeze thought.

Riann stood next to Chiara protectively, her dagger in her left hand.

Caspian and Felix had headed back to the palace, both with mixed up feelings. As soon as Caspian got to his room, he demanded that Felix stay and for what seemed like years, Caspian told Felix all about how awesome he himself was.
