(Thank you. Do you want to wait, or should I start?)
(whatever you want :)
(Heyy, I have a quick question, just to confirm, we don't remember anything about our life before? Even our names?)
When she woke up, the first thing she noticed was that it was dark. The second thing she noticed was that she was alone. These two facts doused her in cold fear. The girl knew she didn’t fear the dark, just what could possibly be inside of the dark, but why? She wasn’t so sure. All she knew was that right now, she was alone, it was dark, and she was scared.
Then, almost as if luck was on her side, the lights flickered on, fighting off the darkness and the fear gripping her heart.
No longer afraid, she looked around. The room was fairly large, and while the girl wasn't quite sure how she knew it, she found it to her liking. Perhaps it was her room?
Shaking her head, the woman set her feet on the floor, biting her lip nervously as she searched for some shoes to wear. Just as she was wearing slippers, a scream ran through her room. It wasn’t a human scream, that was all she could tell you. It was dark, loud, shrilly, frightening— like a monster’s. It didn’t stop.
“Monsters don’t exist,” the girl laughed to herself to make herself feel better. “Monsters. Don’t. Exist.”
The shrill grew louder and the floor began to shake, as if a giant beast was playing jump-rope. Then it suddenly stopped, and did not start again.
“Okay, A—“ the girl paused, finding trouble in recalling her name. Fumbling with her fingers, she released a deep breath to calm herself down. She told herself it was nothing to worry about, and made her way towards the dressing table to find something useful.
She found a file, right there’s in the open, and to her surprise, it had a picture of her, along with a name on top of the file, written in bold.
“Amaryllis Stone…” the girl murmured. “My name?” She flipped open the file, trying to find necessary information, but when she got to the part where it said there were more like her, Amaryllis paused. If there were more here, she needed to find them. And escape this place. With that thought in mind, Amaryllis dug around for something to defend herself with, and carefully, she walked out of the door.
(Heyy, I have a quick question, just to confirm, we don't remember anything about our life before? Even our names?)
(Even our names nods)
(I should clarify it better. I’ll edit the post to make it simpler.)
The woman woke up in an empty room. It was dark, a suffocating darkness that wrapped around her like curling smoke. She exhaled shakily, glancing around, pushing herself upright. Her face felt stiff. Frowning, she touched the left side of her face and winced. There were bandages on it. Had she gotten hurt?
She wandered out into the hall carefully, staying alert.

A light flickered on overhead, causing her to squint her eyes as she awoke. She stretched, yawning, as she sat up in her bed.
Ugh… Where am I? she wondered, looking around the unfamiliar room. Something didn't feel right. Like…she was forgetting something…or everything… Wait-wait-wait. Why can't I remember anything? What the crap is going on here?
She stood and paced the room a few times before noticing a pale, yellow envelope with a name on it: Skye Hart. Making her way over to it, she picked the envelope up and rifled through the papers inside. A picture of herself accompanied the information.
So my name is Skye Hart? Huh. That's pretty cool, I guess.
Skye read through all the information, trying to remember as much as she could. She shook her head when she still couldn't remember, hoping that it would all come back soon.
On the last page in the file, something caught her eye: There are others like you here, as well. She blinked, then read it again, trying to make sure she understood it correctly.
There are more people here? she mused, looking around the room. When she saw no one, she decided that she should maybe go look for them, rather than being alone. Skye set the folder down, then cautiously opened the door, stepping out of the room warily.
The nineteen year old opened his eyes, yawning. As he sat up, he looked around the room he was in. This isn't my room, or wait, is it? He shook his head, trying to remember. Doesn't matter. He tried getting out of his bed, but the lack of light made him fall to the floor with a loud THUMP. "Good going-" He cut off. Shoot. What's my name? The lights flickered on at that exact moment, and after a few seconds he could spot a name on a file by his bed. "Gavin Sherwood? Gavin….Sherwood…" He sounded it out so he wouldn't forget again.
Amaryllis cautiously walked around the dark hallway, biting her lip and hoping nothing would jump at her. She touched a wall and felt something against her hand. It felt like a switch, and with slight hesitation, she pressed it. The hallway lighted up with light from the fire sticks on the wall, burning away Amaryllis's fear. Now that it was lighted, Amaryllis could see the place had black walls with fire sticks on them. It was completely void of pictures or anything that could make the hallway seem lighter. As she walked further, Amaryllis observed how the walls now contained strange words and numbers, as if someone had been writing on them to remember important information. To say that Amaryllis was freaked out was an understatement. Where was she? How did she get here? Who was she? Why couldn't she remember anything?
After a while, Amaryllis heard a door opening. She followed the noise and saw a woman come out of a room. Her hair looked pinkish-silver, styled into a bob.
She must be one of the people the file was talking about… Amaryllis said to herself before walking up to the woman tentatively.
"Hello…" she said quietly as to not startle the girl. "Are you… are you also like me?" Amaryllis wanted to slap herself for the stupid question, but she still maintained a composed expression as the woman turned around to look at her.
Skye blinked, somewhat startled, as the woman started talking to her.
"Uh… If you mean, I have no idea where I am, how I got here, or even who I am, then… I guess so?" she replied.
Gavin didn't read the file, but he did slip it under his black ski jacket. This could be important… He stood up, rubbing his left arm which would probably have a bruise soon. He looked around the room. It was so…bare and plain. It reminded him of…what was the word…someplace. Gavin shook his head. Maybe I got knocked out and can't remember anything. Yes, that must be it. I'll go find….my parents? Do I have any? He sighed, opening the door and ignoring the loud noises that filled the silence.
Skye blinked, somewhat startled, as the woman started talking to her.
"Uh… If you mean, I have no idea where I am, how I got here, or even who I am, then… I guess so?" she replied.
Amaryllis sighed with relief.
"When the file said there were more like me, I didn't really believe it," she said. "I'm… Amaryllis. Amaryllis Stone. Or so this file says. I'm not really sure."
"Skye Hart, apparently," she said, sticking her hand out. "I'd say it's nice to meet you, but, given the circumstances, I'm not entirely sure."
Amaryllis shook her hand.
"I can understand," Amaryllis smiled just to lighten the atmosphere. "Did you also get a file?"
Gavin nervously peered out of the door. The hallway was bare as well, except for fire on the walls and two girls. Should I know them?
Amaryllis shook her hand.
"I can understand," Amaryllis smiled just to lighten the atmosphere. "Did you also get a file?"
"Yes, I did," Skye nodded. "It had a lot about me in it…"
