"Are you even going to finish that?" Hunter laughed as he grabbed another sandwich and took a large bite.

Kenzie smiled.

"Of course! But I seem to keep getting distracted," she said, giving him a pointed look before taking a bite.

"You keep distracting me, too, but unlike you, I've already eaten a sandwich and a pie," Hunter shot back.

"Because you shoved the whole thing in your mouth!" Kenzie exclaimed incredulously. She stuck her tongue out at him again and took the last bite of her sandwich.

"It still counts," Hunter said as he finished his second sandwich. "God, these are so good."

"Thanks. I made them myself," Kenzie replied, putting some potato salad on a plate. "I made this, too." She took a bite, getting a bit of the mayonnaise on her lip.

"I know," Hunter grinned as he took a bite out of the potato salad. "Man, I'm so lucky to have you as my girlfriend."

Kenzie grinned back, then licked the mayo off her lip.

"Well, hey. We can both cook, so that's pretty great, huh?" she pointed out, taking another bite.

"Of course," Hunter replied, eating another mouthful of the salad, using his thumb to wipe off the mayo trailing down his mouth. "What do you want to do, Kenzie? What's your goal in life?"

"Well…" Kenzie started, blushing slightly. "I want to become a vet, obviously, and then I'd like to open my own clinic when I can." She bit her lip in thought before continuing, "And I want to marry a wonderful man and have kids. And I want cats, too. What about you?"

"You already know what I want," Hunter grinned. "An actor. An artist. Marry a girl who wants cats. Raise a family with her. Make the world a better place for the poor.

Kenzie smiled and finished off her potato salad. She bopped Hunter on the nose with her fork, leaving a dab of mayo.

(I want this… Like, a lot…)

Hunter grabbed another sandwich and took a large bite. He chewed slowly before swallowing.
"I'll be busy on the day of the masquerade and I won't be able to pick you up," he finally said. "So Leo will do it. Oh, by the way, did you hear? Leo asked Willow to the ball with him. He kept bombing my phone with the news."

(He's just gonna ignore the mayo on his nose…)

Kenzie frowned slightly at the news, but it quickly turned into a smile when she heard about her friend.

"That's awesome! She's totally smitten with him, you know. I mean, she won't admit it, but she totally is." Her eyes widened at a sudden thought. "Oh, no. She's going to want me to costume shop with her… Unless, of course, you can convince Leo to take her?"

Hunter laughed.
"You don't have to worry about shopping," Hunter grinned. "Leo can be the perfect gentleman when time calls for it. He may not look like it, but he knows a hell lot about fashion and shit. He has sisters, after all." Hunter reached up to rub his nose as a habit when he felt something. Frowning, he looked at his hand to find it mayonised. He looked at Kenzie with an eyebrow raised, an expression that said, "Really?"

(He's just gonna ignore the mayo on his nose…)

(Blinks he has mayo on his nose?)

Hunter laughed.
"You don't have to worry about shopping," Hunter grinned. "Leo can be the perfect gentleman when time calls for it. He may not look like it, but he knows a hell lot about fashion and shit. He has sisters, after all." Hunter reached up to rub his nose as a habit when he felt something. Frowning, he looked at his hand to find it mayonnaised. He looked at Kenzie with an eyebrow raised, an expression that said, "Really?"

Kenzie bit her lip as laughter danced in her eyes. She grabbed a pie and took a bite without saying a word about the mayo on his nose.

Hunter just shook his head, laughing.
"You know, I love food too much to waste it," he said simply as he snatched Kenzie's pie and took a large bite out of it all the while grinning.

"Hey! That was mine! Give it back!" Kenzie exclaimed incredulously, reaching for her pie.

Hunter smirked, swallowing the previous bite before stuffing the entire thing in his mouth. He chewed quickly and swallowed it before laughing at Kenzie's pouting face.
"That was for the mayo," he said, winking.

Kenzie glowered at Hunter.

"Rude," she said simply, glaring at him.

"You love me anyway," Hunter shrugged, grabbing a sandwich and taking a bite. There wasn't much left, just two sandwiches and three pieces of pie, which Hunter was sure that it would be finished quickly.

Kenzie stayed silent as she took another piece of pie and bit into it, still glaring at Hunter. Taking a bite of her food was one thing, but eating all of it… He had just called down the silent treatment.

Hunter laughed.
"Are you mad at me?" he asked, grinning cheekily. "Come on, Kenz."

Kenzie shrugged and looked away. Wordlessly, she took another bite of her pie.

"If you keep ignoring me, I won't kiss you," Hunter threatened.

Kenzie simply shrugged again in response, still avoiding his gaze and eating her pie slowly.

Hunter shrugged.
"Fine, then," he said, taking a bite out of his sandwich. "You asked for it."
