Powers: Can only cast curses for about 5 minutes. Can manipulate light, but has to concentrate if they want it to be harmful
Weakness: Has a tendency to glow in the dark, healing and charms are half of effective on them.
Limit: 5 minutes. If they do anything longer than 5 minutes, their life force began to be sucked away.
Other: Making her own body glow doesn't do anything to them. It just happens.

(Oh jeez they're gonna have a rough ride XD plants and fire may mix, but not well. For the gender, just count up how many of each we have and make the least common one :)

Personality: He is a freakin' cinnamon bun! (But can come up with the most savage remarks ever!)

Powers: He can speed up growth can control fire.
Weakness: He can only speed up growth until the plant is one month older and be can't control fire the best (sometimes it goes out of control) If he is stressed and tries to speed up the plants life, fire could accidently catch onto the plant and the plants dies :(
Limit: If he tries to grow plants straight out of the ground, he could die.
Other: He likes to sing.

(All the families have been used, but I could think of a way to fit you in. If you want, maybe your character could be the sibling of someone else's, but only has one power, so that they are not Cursed and technically not in the prophecy? They could come along on the quest because they want to protect their sibling or something. It's just an idea, otherwise they could be just a combination of two already taken.)
