"I figured that much was clear," Zanna responded, "We're either androids or clones. Considering we look like humans and act like humans it has to be one of the two."
"I figured that much was clear," Zanna responded, "We're either androids or clones. Considering we look like humans and act like humans it has to be one of the two."
"Well obviously" Levi rolls his eyes and crosses his arms. He turns to Laura. "What do you think about all of this?"
Laura just watched the whole thing disappointed. "You guys are a bunch of-" She stopped herself. 'Let's not go there Laura.' she told herself. "I think we need to figure out more about this." She nodded sternly. "I'm sorry if this will bore you, but we need to figure out what they plan to do with… us."
"Probably something not so good," Zanna responded, "They're teaching us to be 'deviant' or at least I think so."
"I mean, let's think." Levi sat on his bed next to CC and leaned forward a bit. "What're they training us to do? Most of it is very physical active things. So what does that hint towards?"
She was processing everything when Hayden spoke up. "Oh my gods, we're criminals." He spoke aloud. Laura looked at him. "Yeah sure, how is that even logical? We've almost never left the stupid island." She said crossing her arms. He sighed. "It's just, everything is making sense that we are." He didn't explain well.
"It does make sense," Zanna paused with some thought, "Maybe we could use the school computers to look up recent criminals and if a teacher asks just say it was for a project or something. That would probably work. Also, Laura remember, we're either clones or androids. So it would make sense if we never left this damn island."
Laura was in denial. She didn't want to believe it, even if it was right in front of her, cold hard evidence. "Well I'm sorry I don't want to believe I'm a criminal's own DNA, I'm sorry I don't want to be a criminal's DNA. I'm sorry that I find it hard to take in when I thought I was living an OK life that was a complete life." She was getting worked up now. "I'm sorry I'm such an idiot that can't take the stupid news!" She yelled taking a shaky breath. "I'm going back to my dorm. You figure out what to do." She said swinging the door open and leaving. Hayden just sat awkwardly wishing he hadn't even brought it up.
Zanna watched as Laura left and was for once grateful she didn't feel things like anger. Or at least thought it was good she didn't feel it. They didn't know why Laura was taking it so hard and probably never would. That was just the life of Zanna Storm.
Hayden looked at the others. "I'm sorry I even brought it up." He said rubbing his arm defensively.
Levi took a deep breath, rubbing his temples as he looked down at his spotless floor.
"Technically we're not criminals if we haven't done anything wrong. It's just like a parent and a child" he looked up to Laura. "If the, let's say mom, murdered someone. That would make her a murderer. But if she has a son, her son wouldn't be a murderer. He didn't do anything. Though they share the same DNA. So we're not criminals….though he might be clones" he says with a sigh, trying to process everything.
(Did I not say Laura had left? I swear I did? I'll double check.)
(Ok never mind)
(Agh I'm sorry! Do you want me to delete it?)
(Or edit it, cuz that was a lot)
(XD you're fine. We can just leave it and ignore the part about Laura is all <3)
(Okay)
(I might have Levi come out and talk to Laura, is that okay?)
(Fine by me, but let's just make sure this doesn't turn into a O/O ;) Lol)
Hayden sighed and slowly sat in the vacant seat where Laura had sat. He was slowly putting the pieces together in his brain like a puzzle. "Wait- so if we're clones, we have to be made with a human's DNA. So, I know it may be contradicting what you said, but wouldn't we still be half guilty for their crimes? I mean if somehow they escaped the prison they are hopefully in, and we happened to finally be free, couldn't we have a problem at having the law catch us and DNA test us?" He pointed out. "What would we do then, say: "Oh- that was my Clon-ie. I'm a clone of So-and-so." They wouldn't take that bull$%!*." He asked crossing his arms.
Zanna looked to Hayden, "Probably, but we also have definite memories problems. So if they tried to interrogate us for our OG's crimes we wouldn't be able to answer the questions correctly. And it would be especially in our favor if they used a lie detector on us. Besides the likelihood of us getting in trouble with the law is slim, right?"
He shrugged. "I guess." He nodded slightly. "It was all hypothetical though." He finished shoving his hands into his pockets.
"I got that," Zanna responded her voice dull, "But I figured giving you an answer would be more beneficial to respond with."
He nodded. "Well thank you." He replied with not much of a smile.
Zanna gave a nod, "No problem."
Hayden turned to CC. "What's your take on this? You've seemed quiet the whole time. Quieter than me."
She looked up to them and took a deep breath. "I just want to know why they're doing this" she says quietly as she swiping the hair from her face.
Levi got up and left the room in search for Laura. A while later he found her down the hall. He was still a little mad about what she had done earlier, but he wasn't going to bring that up. "Hey, are you alright?" He asks her softly.
Hayden nodded in agreement. "Yeah, what's the point?" He turned to Zanna who he assumed must be the oldest. "Well Levi's gone, so why do you think?" He asked curious.
Laura heard someone walking down the hall, she was so out of it she's didn't care who it was. But then she heard Levi. Then she cared. She stiffened at his voice and turned. "No…" she whispered hoarsely. She stood and walked over to him and watched her feet as She went, avoiding his eyes.
Zanna shrugged, "No clue. Maybe they wanted to make criminals to fight criminals? Suicide squad the whole thing."
He laughed a hearty laugh. "So were the suicide squad? Who's the joker? And Harley Quinn?" He laughed.
"That actually seems pretty cool" CC shrugged. She looked to Hayden, then back to Zanna. "That seems pretty…unlikely though. But then again, that sounds like the most reasonable thing at this point" she sighed, laying down on his bed and looking up to the ceiling. "Why is his room so spotless," she says mostly to herself.
"Why don't you come back in, and we can discuss what we're going to do. Yeah?" He says patiently
She sighed. "I- I guess." She looked at him now with a gentle smile. She had glazed eyes but no actual tears.
He took a deep breath as he saw her eyes. He figured she could use a hug. He was never a big hugger. It was way too much physical contact, but he grabbed her hand and pulled her unto him and hugged her. though she was so small compared to him who seemed like a big shield in the moment. "We're gonna work this out and it's going to be all right. Okay?"
