Same, but my section talks a lot so I don't need a phone anyways XD

I'm like the weird out cast in my section because I actually know stuff about music so they all look at me weird when I ask if the student director saw the such and such thing at measure 52

Some times I think that I don't like the oboe but then I listen to Vivaldi: Oboe Concerto in F, RV456 and I remember what an oboe should sound like

Yeah, I made first chair this year and so my section always looks to me for help on stuff and sometimes they don't understand what I'm talking about XD

I would be first chair but the rest of the flute players would have there egos crushed because I'm "Just a freshmen" and apparently freshmen don't know anything

Except I am first chair trombone because I'm the only one in the high school…

I literally teach the flutes more then the director does.

We only have one trombone at my school too it's sad because she's not super confident in her abilities, but she's really good

They are! I want to switch over but I just got braces so my band director wont let me

My director is actually asking some of the kids in my section of switch to tube just for the rest of the year so that we have more than 1 for once XD

My teacher wanted me to switch from flute to bassoon….. From treble to bass clef. Not gonna happen.

I want to play the bassoon! but someone stole our schools bassoon so I couldn't

how? and why?

We changed Directer's and he didn't have a list of the instruments we owned so some kids took that as an opportunity to steal instruments the bassoon being one of them.

We have a few more trombones in middle school, but most of them will probably quit before high school. At my school, if some kid joins band in middle school just so they don't have to take a different class, they're usually in low brass, and quit before high school.

That's the literal representation of sadness. It makes me soooo sad when other people don't enjoy playing their instruments as much as I do :(

I am only a freshman and our other baritone player is a senior, but i'm first chair which is pretty cool cuz i get all the baritone parts where there needs to be less brass cuz we sound like a wild stampede when we all are playing sometimes.

We just got new music and now we're talking about field shows, I suggested Broadway but we might be doing a Rock through the ages type of thing.

Cool…right now I'm in band class and we're doing pomp and circumstance for graduation this weeend
