Ethyn looked down. "Yeah. I could."

Kye paused for a moment, then he glanced back at the people following him. "Come on, we should pick it up a bit. We just need to get across this roof and the next before we can get down."

"Agreed also sorry I was talking to the pixie and she said that they are still confused by the fireworks but they started asking the crowd if they saw us" Kain looked around at the little bunch of friends he had made a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth

"So the fireworks worked! Not my usual style but hey. Dude you're pretty smart!" Ethyn said to Kye with admiration.

Kye didn't reply, but he gave a half smile to Ethyn. People were always telling him, he was smart. He didn't personally agree. He just did what needed to be done. But he also knew that if he tried to argue against it, he wasn't gonna get far. So he didn't. "Just on the other side of this building then we can start down."

Kain tapped Ava's shoulder "Can you put me down please?" he looked around at the group but waited on Ava to put him down

Ava nodded and put Kain down, looking at Kye for what they were going to do next.

"What now?" Ethyn asked, leaning over the edge of the roof to look at the ground.

"Well I'm going to guess that you aren't going to want to jump, so I suggest we take the ladder," Kye gestured to the ladder that was hung over the side of the building. It was all the way up and didn't reach the fire escape, so Kye walked over and looked at it for a moment. Then he jumped over the side twisted around and caught the bottom of the ladder. It jerked under his weight and slid down to the fire escape taking Kye with it. He rubbed his hands together and looked up at the others. "Coming?"

"Well maybe you don't want to jump…" Ethyn said, stepping dramatically off the edge and landing squarely on the ground floors below.

Kain followed the others and held Ava’s hand

Ethyn looked around then tried to discreetly have a coughing fit. There was nothing discreet about it.

Ava glanced back at Ethyn, a little worried, she kept walking, but she asked, "You okay?"

Ethyn stopped suddenly. "Yes! Perfectly fine." As soon as she looked away, he let his shoulders relax and slouched forward.

Kye didn't stop, but he turned on his heel and began walking backwards. "Eth, if something is wrong, please let us know. I don't need people dying on me right now thanks." He looked a little more serious now as he slowed to a stop. "If something is wrong, and this goes for everyone, if something is wrong, please let me or someone else know. You came to me for help, and that is what I'm trying to do, but I cannot do that, if you keep problems from me."

Ethyn bit his lip when Kye called him 'Eth', then snapped "I'm fine! Jeez!" But someone else isn't. He swallowed and put his hood up, pulling it down over his eyes.

"I didn't say that something was wrong, I said if there is," Kye replied. He Turned and kept walking. He knew that something was wrong, but he learned at a young age that sometimes it was best to address something once. So he didn't push it and just kept moving. They had a few blocks left.

"…okay then." Ava's tone was doubtful, but there was nothing she could do for Ethyn, and it pained her to not be able to do anything.

Ethyn started walking so he ws a few metres away from the others. He was silently crying to himself so there was no way the others would know.

Kye looked up over the roofs of the buildings. Able to do so now because they were in a neighborhood area. He slowed to almost a complete stop staring at something. Heavy smoke was rising into the sky from several blocks away. "Oh no…" Kye said mostly to himself. It was coming from the place they were headed. Hosea's place.

Ethyn looked up as Kye said that. He flicked his hood down immediately. "Oh god."

Insinctively, Ethyn broke into a run. As he did, he flicked a metal cylinder into his palm and held it tight as though he may have to use it for something.

Kain let go of Ava’s hand and walked to Kye “is that bad?”

Kye glanced down at Kain. "It might be, come on," he said starting to run after Ethyn.

Kain followed them calling back to Ava with a smile on his face hiding his fear "Come on!"

Ava looked up at the others, worry in her expression. Her eyes followed Ethyn, and when he was out of her sight she broke into a run, and despite that her legs were relatively long, and she was athletic, when she finally caught up to Kye, she was a bit out of breath. But then again, it was her fault that she had waited so long. She managed to give Kain a half-smile, and watched Ethyn run, by now pretty sure he'd been lying earlier when he said he was fine.

Kain had kept a fair pace for only being a little over four feet tall and kept up with everyone else

The came around the corner and Kye came to a complete stop. Fire trucks, police vehicles and a house completely engulfed in flames. It was Hosea's house. "Oh my god…" Kye stood stalk still, not being able to physically move himself.
Kid, there are police there.
Hey, you need to get the kids out of here now!
Kye, you have got to get these kids out of here. He got out, you know him.

Kain whimpered and stood by Ava a scared expression on his face

"…we should probably go," Ava stated, noticing the situation and holding Kain close.
