(I’m good with that)
The party was going pretty good. Damian had a pretty nice place, and most of the neighbors didn’t mind the racket. There was music playing, a small dance floor, a party game area, even an area towards the back where a group of people smoked and drank—Damian knew Christopher didn’t want that kind of stuff around him, so Damian tried to tell his friends to keep it in that area.
(Anyone can kinda come into the party right now by the way…)
(lol)
Muttering nervously to herself, Riverpaw looked up at the house as her ride pulled up in front of it. Angela, the dark-skinned woman in the driver seat, looked back at her. "You sure you're gonna be okay, kiddo?" She asked softly. "You can always come over and hang at my place; Dani and the boys won't be back until later, but you know we've got video games and stuff." Riverpaw gave her a little smile. "I'll be okay. I-I've got friends coming…and I- I said I would go." That doesn't make it any less scary. "I mean, if you're really sure…" Angela asked, and Riverpaw nodded. "Um, but, I-I don't know if any of them are here yet and…I don't wanna go in by myself."
"Well, I'm not going in there, but we can wait until one of them shows."
"O-okay. Thank you."
(Could yall just drag Amaris around? I might be going MIA for a bit again)
(ye)
Ryan checked the address on his phone again. He was pretty sure he was at the right place, but he didn't want to just barge in. Would it be weird if he walked in alone? He should probably wait for someone he knew. He looked at the house again as a car pulled up.
Flame ignored the sputter of his engine as he arrived to the party. I should get that checked out later. He thought although knowing full and well that he didn't have enough money for it. He saw two other people he knew and blew a silent sigh of relief that there would be people he knew hear. He waved over to them before turning of his bike and hopping off.
"Friends?" Angela's simple question had Riverpaw peeking out the window to check. "Oh, y-yeah, okay." She grabbed the small bag she'd brought with her and got out of the car. "Thank you for driving me, Angie." The woman smiled as she started her vehicle up again. "No problem, sweetie. Have fun, be safe!"
Riverpaw watched the car drive off before turning to the house and heading on over to meet her friends. Why did you agree to this? You could've just gone home with Angie and played video games instead of being here with the strange people and loud music. She clutched her bag's strap as she hurried over to Flame; she'd be fine as long as she stuck close to someone she knew.
"So," Ryan said, awkwardly, "I'm gonna guess none of us really want to be here." He could hear the party raging on, yet none of them had entered.
"Mm, y-yeah." Riverpaw shrugged. She looked up at the house, resisting the urge to cover her ears. "B-but Chris seemed excited about this…"
(Just so you guys know the music isn’t blasting or anything, it’s more of a chill party lol)
(Oh, sorry)
Ryan stuck his hands in his jacket pockets. “Yeah, I guess. Do you want to go inside now?”
(Nah ur good, I forgot to specify so it’s on me lol)
"Sure," Flame said to the other two. He approached the door and opened it for them all to go in. The music wasn't too loud but you could hear it from all the rooms in the house. There were drinks and foods scattered around and people were just chatting. Flame spotted Christopher and made his way towards him.
Christopher was hanging out on one of the chairs by the counter, legs curled up to his chest. He was sipping on a cup of water, and he waved when he saw the familiar faces enter the house. “Hi, I’m glad to see someone I know,” He said with a small laugh, smiling brightly.
Ryan smiled back. "Yeah, I don't normally go to parties. If you guys weren't here, I probably wouldn't have even come."
“Me neither, but Damian’s a really nice guy. I really enjoy hanging out with him, especially since he’s gone in Russia or wherever a lot,” Christopher said with a small smile.
Riverpaw whined inwardly as she looked around the house. She couldn't help but cling to the arm of the nearest person, which happened to be Ryan. "Um, w-what is he 'in Russia or wherever' for?" She ask Christopher.
Christopher paused to think for a moment, “I suppose we never really talk about it. He says it’s business related stuff, and it’s about then I stop listening,” Christopher said with a small laugh, glancing around for Damian but it seemed to be the Russian man was off on the dance floor, swaying by himself near the sidelines and nursing a red solo cup.
August decided, no matter how strange it would be, to go to the party that was spoken of. He had followed one of the motorcycles for a bit until stopping so he didn't seem suspicious for following the cycle. He then made his way to a neighborhood and looked around for a bunch of parked bikes. Eventually, he found the house and parked by the side. With a sigh, Auggie got off and went to the door. After a moment of hesitation, he knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer it.
Damian, desperate for a distraction from his loneliness, walked to get the door when he heard a knock. He opened it and offered a smile, not recognizing the guy but also not caring, “Welcome, I am Damian. If you want to smoke, you can go over there.” Damian gestured to the area in the back he’d designated for the drugs. He liked his parties to have a little class, not to be some high mess.
August smiled and held out his hand almost out of habit. "I'm August, nice to meet you." He said as looked to where Damian had pointed. He wasn't much of a smoker so he probably wasn't going to visit that room any time soon.
Damian’s hand met August’s in a firm handshake. “Nice to meet you as well. Feel free to enjoy yourself,” Damian told him with a smile, stepping aside to let the man in. He glanced back to the dance floor, wondering whether he should go back to sadly dance alone or go mingle with his cousin’s friends.
(is everyone at the party right now?)
(I don't know)
Ryan gestured vaguely in Damian's direction. "Do you think we should invite him over? He looks kind of lonely."
Christopher chewed on his lower lip, weighing it. “I don’t know. Sometimes he likes to be alone, I think. Maybe he’s feeling homesick. I don’t know if he has a significant other or anything back in Russia, maybe he misses someone?” Christopher wondered aloud. Damian never really talked about his personal life in Russia all that much with Christopher.
(not everyone yet)
Riverpaw looked around and stepped closer to Ryan, then tapped Christopher. "A-as his cousin, should you, l-like, go spend some time with him?" She suggested. "I-invite him over here or- or something?"
“I was talking with him earlier, it’s just-“ Christopher bit his lower lip, then finally continued, “Are you sure you all want him over here. I just know that you don’t know him very well, and I didn’t want him to freak you guys out. I know he freaked me out when I first met him,” Christopher let out a soft, almost shy, chuckle at that, “I don’t want you to be forced fo hang out with him because he’s my cousin.” Christopher fidgeted with his hands and favored to look at the ground.
