Aki turned away, choking back a noise before walking to Cas's side, his hand gently taking the others. "Hey, love… I need you to breathe, okay? It's gonna be okay…" He whispers, the physical contact enough to ease some of the others pain.
"It h… it h-hurts…" Cas choked out, looking up at Aki with tears stinging his eyes. He tried to curl up again, but the medic wouldn't let him.
"Shhhh, shhhh… I know it hurts love. I know. It's gonna be okay." He whispered, his eyes gentle as he gazes at the other. He continued try his magic, He tried easing the pain, kissing Cas's knuckles.
Cas relaxed ever so slightly, but he was still very tense. "I think the bullet is still inside…" The medic murmured worriedly. "Which means this won't be a very fun process."
Aki glanced at the woman before clearing throat. "Miss… If I may? I've learned how to treat bullet wounds." He says slowly, "And have learned a few ways of making it less painful…"
The medic eyed him warily for a moment before stepping away, letting Aki take the lead. Cas looked up at him, looking close to passing out again.
Aki gently gazed at the wound before grabbing the metal tweezers. He cleans them off carefully before silently whispering a spell. It was so faint not even a mouse could hear it. He took the tweezers and inserted them carefully into the skin, the tweezers guiding him to the bullet. He took a deep breath and whispered another spell, a spell to help Cas with the pain. He pulled the bullet out carefully, his eyes never moving from the careful movement of the tweezers. The bullet was out in a matter of seconds.
Cas flinched when Aki brought the tweezers to his skin, and the spell could only help so much with the pain. Once the bullet was out, he curled up into a loose, trembling ball on the table. The medic seemed surprised, albeit pleasantly, at how easily Aki had removed the bullet, especially with Cas being in this condition. Cas's trembling weakened as he passed out again, but he seemed to at least be physically stable.
Aki placed the bullet down as well as the tweezers. He released a breath before running a hand through his hair, releasing a breath. He cleaned his hands again before carefully stitching up the wound and wrapping it. He kissed Cas on the forehead, gently taking his hand and rubbing his thumb along Cas's knuckles as he rests.
"I think he'll be alright, gentlemen. Thank you." The medic curtsied politely to the guards, who then left. "How did you do that, miss…?" She asked Aki.
Aki looks at Cas, concern in his eyes, kissing the back of Cas's palm. "Aria…" He says quietly. "As for the bullet wound… for a while a friend of mine was under constant threat. He got shot at a lot. I helped him in the best ways I could…" Aki whispers. "It became a common occurrence for me to take care of bullet wounds. I always asked the nurses if they could teach me how to care for wounds…"
The medic nodded. "Well, I can't tell you how grateful I am for your help, Aria. Prince Casper can be a very finicky patient." She laughed a bit, looking down at the unconscious boy. "He used to get many small injuries as a child."
Aki nods, a sad smile gracing his lips. "It's the least I can offer." He replies quietly. He looked up when she laughed and tilted his head slightly. "Really?" He asks softly, a look of surprise on his face.
"Mhmm. He kept escaping the castle because he wanted to go climb trees and stuff, but I guess he didn't know how to get down other than falling. The guards brought him in many times for little things like that, and he was never particularly compliant."
Aki laughs gently, his eyes kept on Cas and his expressions. He needed to make sure that the other would be okay. "I don't doubt that." he laughs quietly.
Cas stirred a bit, but didn't seem to be waking up yet. "He also got tons of little cat scratches, and once a rather bad dog bite. I suspect that's where his fear of dogs comes from."
He nods and sighs quietly, his eyes gently as he gazes at the other before kissing the back of Cas's hands. "I don't blame him." He looked at the other before shaking his head.
The medic watched them for a moment before stepping away. "I'll leave you two alone."
After a few minutes, Cas started to weakly entwine his fingers with Aki's.
Aki nods in thanks as he looked at the other before shaking his head, "Thank you." He whispers. He looked at the other before squeezing Cas's hand gently. "I love you." He whispers.
Cas mumbled something incoherently, though it was presumably 'I love you too'. It took him another minute to blearily open his eyes and look up at Aki.
Aki stayed quiet, leaning his head on the others hand, his eyes shutting as he stays there. "I'm sorry…" He whispers quietly.
"W… W-What are you… sorry for…?" He stammered weakly, closing his eyes again.
"Not protecting you… If I had been faster…" He whispers as he kisses the others knuckles. "I'm so sorry…"
Cas shook his head. "It isn't your fault… I'm glad you aren't hurt."
Aki slowly looked at the other before shaking his head, "I'd rather me then you." He replies quietly.
"And I'd rather me than you. That's just how it goes, isn't it?" Cas was a little more conscious, but still drained. He tried to sit up and grimaced. "D-Damn, that hurts…"
He kissed the others hand gently, sighing quietly. "I'm still sorry…" he mutters as he shut his eyes. He opened his eyes against as he looks at the other. "Please don't over exert yourself…" He mutters worriedly.
Cas sighed and lay back down, holding his free hand over the wound, which had bled through his bandages by now. "I didn't think I was overexerting myself…"
"I don't want you to hurt yourself more then you already have." He mutters, fixing the others bandages and sighing quietly. He was so worried for the other.
Cas looked up at Aki tiredly, his eyes weak and tinted with pain. "I'm sorry, I… I-I'll try to be more careful…"
