Kameo hit the bottom of the ocean, aware that he was drowning.

(in salt water, you drown in your own blood. In fresh water, you drown on water)

(You are making this harder for Cicada.)

Cicada didn't know how deep she was, but she could see the bottom of the ocean and Kameo's body. She swam faster in an attempt to reach him. She managed to grab him and began to pull him back up to the surface.

"No. Leave me be." Kameo muttered, choking on water, "Let me die. I already wrote the note. Everyone's going to be sad and angry if I come back."

Cicada ignored Kameo and focused on getting him to the surface, They'll be even sadder if you die.

"I'm an idiot. Let me die."

Cicada pulled herself and Kaemo through the surface. She looked at him dead in the eye without letting go, "Yes, your an idiot! Your an idiot for trying to kill yourself without even trying to wait it out!"

"Then let me."

"No way!" Cicada shouted at him, "I've been in your position. This isn't the way. You have friends, people who care for you. That was a lot more than I had. Your lucky Kameo. Your really lucky."

"You're lucky too. I might be lucky, but the world is still full of misfortune. It hasn't killed me yet, I'm doing all of you a favor." he let his wet hair stick to his face.

"Then wait for it," Cicada looked at him her hair was sticking to her own face as well, "Live every day as if it were your last, but don't let it be. That's how I've survived. I live for those who couldn't."

"I can't go back. Not like this." Kameo begged her, "Drop me off at an island, I can be a hermit for the rest of my days."

"Not happening," Cicada looked at him, "We can go back to your rowboat and wait until your ready, but we are going back to the ship."

"Why must you save me? You don't even like me! Just let me drown." he closed his eyes.

"Because right now I see an old me," Cicada responded, "and I see a chance to save a life, something that I wish I had a long time ago."

"My life isn't worth saving." Kameo pleaded, "I need to die."

"No one need to die," Cicada shrugged, "It just happens, but every life is worth saving."

(Exciting News: I am going to be done with the drawing of the whole crew in two weeks!)

"It wasn't your fault Kameo. It never is. You did save Morrigan though."

"Yeah." Kameo's tears mixed with the sea as he tried again. "Please Cicada, leave me."

"Never," Cicada responded, "I will never leave any of you."

Kameo gave up. "When you take me back, lock me in my room and tell the others that I'm unconscious. Don't let anyone in."

"I can do that," Cicada responded, 'However I'm staying with you. Just so you don't try this again."
She swam back to the rowboat and pulled both her and Kameo aboard.

"Gee, why must you stay with me in a room full of all my poisons and bombs."

"I don't know," Cicada sarcastically responded. She began rowing back towards the ship. Before having to stop because of her injuries. She was panting.

"Maybe you should go visit Lucy too." Kameo said, "But be prepared for a lot of "I'mma kick your ass Kam". Um yeah, you're going to kick my ass, my leg is gone."

"I've already seen him," Cicada looked at him, "Just moved a bit too much a bit too fast."

"See him again." he pushed his hair back. "Not gonna let you suffer because of me."
