"I know that already." Kayla muttered, rubbing her thumb across a large scar on her arm.
She turned to the man. "How much is he?" She asked. Hopefully if she persuaded him she could get the price down.
"50 platinum peices." He said. He knew that Orion was no where near that price but this girl seemed easy enough to mess with.
"Scuse me?" Orion shot a piercing glare at him. "Go lower will ya!?"
The man glared at Orion. "Shut it!" He snapped.
Kayla scoffed. "50 platinum? For a siren with this many scars? Hell no! No wonder he's been here so long if your selling him at that price." She growled at him.
"Okay you know what, im worth way more than that. So screw you" He says flipping them off.
"And that's insulting" He mumbled to himself slipping back into the water blowing bubbles to occupy himself.
He was actually really insecure about his scars, but he didn't let it show.
Kayla flashed him a look that had "sorry" written all over her face. She didn't want to pick on him but if there was physical damage to something, it could be sold for less.
The man scouled. "Fine. 40 platinum peices." He huffed.
Orion rolled his eyes underwater and went back to counting every bubble he blew. He wouldn't be surprised if she didn't buy him.
Kayla crossed her arms. "30 and it's a deal."
The man thought on it for a bit before looking at Orion. "Deal." He said firmly. "But you have to pay it right now."
"Pay up missy," he says with a smile, though realizing that he shouldn't push his luck.
Kayla gave him a look but it was playful more than anything. She pulled 30 platinum pieces out of her bag and dropped them in the peddlers hand. "30 platinum pieces. Can I take him?" Kayla asked.
"Oh wait, how are you gonna take me? A net? Wheels? I swear if i have to be in this tank for any longer than i have to, I'm gonna go crazy" he says popping out of the water.
The peddler looked over all the coins before huffing. "He's yours. Take the tank cause unless you have one at home you need somewhere to keep him." He informed. "Did you get a ride here?"
He watched the two interact. Goodness, he hasn't seen another siren in so long. He had met one a long time ago that was like him. Sweet like honey with a smile to light up anyone's day.
He missed that.
Kayla shook her head. "Ill get a friends to bring a cart for me." She said.
(Do you want to skip to later because this part is really awkward.)
(Definetly)
(You or me?)
"Well since Orions the being sold and all and Kaylas buying him and taking him somewhere, i think you probably should)
($h!t! I forgot about this.)
Kayla had gotten a wagon to the ocean. They were on a small cliff. People often came here in the summer time to swim but definitely not this close to winter and not with the storm rolling in. ”Here we go.” She said as she hopped of the wagon to start to try to help Orion back to the ocean.
(whats funny is i thought you replied, but i thought i accidentally unfollowed this. So ive been trying to look for this for like…. ever XD So youre fine. I do that alot too)
He looked at her with his arms crossed. An unamused look on his face. "you think im gonna jump off? Think again."
He says looking back to the cliff. Man he hated it. Looking down at it. What if he fell in and a shark immediately chopped his head off!?
"Why not? I do it all the time." She asked, putting her hands on her hips.
"well for one. I have a tail. Which comes with the inability to actually jump. And two….. are you insane!?"
"Yes." She said automatically. She started to take off her coat and shoes. "Now are you done wining or not?" Kayla asked.
A confused and extremely panicked look crossed his face. "Wait what the hell are you doing?!"
"Well I'm going for a swim." She said as she stopped undressing with her long brown pants and long white shirt and her bandanna around her head, holding her hair back. "And so are you." She chuckled, happily.
"Kayla….im not doing that. And there's no way you can make me" he says crossing his arms as if he wasn't in a large wagon with wheels that could simply roll off the cliff in two seconds.
"I could just roll you and the wagon off the cliff." Kayla pointed out as she walked over to his tank.
"Sh!t, no don't do that!" He says gripping the sides of the wagon. Like that would help.
Kayla laughed. "Cam down! This is a friend's wagon and they would kill me if I wrecked their wagon." She said, rolling up her sleves. "I have absolutely no attachment to this tank though."
"Oh goodness" he says sinking into the water and squeezing his eyes shut. Bracing himself for what was to come. He figured there was no stopping her now.
She got up to the opposite side of the tank and slid a metal pole under the tank. She pushed down the the other end of the tank causing it to tip over. It wasn't close enough to get Orion or the tank off the side of the cliff but it was enough so that Kayla could do the rest herself.
