He nodded a bit and looked around, wondering what he should do. He spotted the pull up bar and decided to try, but he couldn't reach it.
Sorin watched as he approached the bar and the first thing that came to mind was him falling off of it. He immediately shook away the thought and figured he should let him do things on his own without being worried about him getting hurt all the time. "Do you want me to help you over there?"
"…Yeah.." Cas looked up at the bar and sighed. He jumped to try and grab the bar, but he still couldn't reach.
Sorin got up and walked over to him, gently resting his hands on his waist before propping him up once he was sure he had a steady hold on him. "Alright, this should be high enough."
"Thanks, love." Cas grabbed onto the bar and pulled himself up. Instead of doing chinups, though, he pulled himself up onto the bar and perched himself upon it.
(I'm really sorry I'm not here too often. I have a lot of finals to prep for as well as trying to get into biotech and stuff– but I will most definitely be here more often when I'm not too occupied.)
Sorin looked at him with his eyebrow raised. He had expected him to make an effort with pulling himself up at least, but he didn't expect him to just lie there. "You're very welcome," he smiled at him nonetheless and went back to sit on his bench press. "Is that all you wanted to do?"
(No problem! Your personal life comes first <3)
"Yeah." Cas huffed and shifted until he was sitting on top of the bar. "I like being perched on things, but everything in your house is difficult for me to get onto…"
Sorin lied down and picked up the weight. "I thought cats had that magical ability to pounce on things easily."
"They do, but being a neko means I'm just sort of a more agile human…" Cas sighed. "I'm limited by the way my body is built."
"Oh, right. I completely forgot about that," he said quietly to himself then looked at him as he got himself comfortable on the bench press. "Before careful up there."
"Mm." Cas shifted so that he was hanging upside down from the bar by his knees.
Sorin looked at him nervously and continued to lift the heavy weight. "Be careful."
"I'm fine, love." Cas rolled his eyes. "Stop worrying."
"I can't help it when you're hanging like that… what if you get a nosebleed? Or fall?"
"I'm sure I'd be okay. It's not that far, is it?"
"It's not too far, but still. I… just be careful and try not to swing too much."
"Fiiine…" Cas stayed where he was, his face gradually beginning to turn red.
"And don't hang there for too long Cas. You might get a nosebleed…"
"Why?" He asked, curling his tail around his leg so it wouldn't be in the way.
"Well, your nose might not bleed right away, but a lot of other things can happen if you hang like that for way too long," he continued lifting the weight, his breathing begging to become a bit more shallow. "Your organs might put a lot of weight on your lungs, which could make it hard for you to breathe." Sorin glanced at him then back to the ceiling. "But I'm sure you'll be careful."
"Mm…" Cas was starting to feel quite a bit of pressure in his head, and stars sparkled in his vision. "Very."
Sorin looked at him again then quickly averted his gaze. He didn't want to be too overprotective over him but he also didn't want him to get hurt…
Cas closed his eyes for a second and started slipping. The sudden motion startled him and made him fall, though he managed to grab onto the bar and prevented himself from hitting the ground. His tail was fluffed up in fear.
Sorin jumped up and went after him, nearly dropping the weight on his own chest– but it luckily fell on the ground and made a loud clattering sound . He hugged his arms around his waist and carefully pulled him down from the bar.
Cas allowed Sorin to take him, his heart noticeably pounding. He was still quite tense and frozen from being startled, his tail all puffed up just like a scared cat.
Sorin took a seat on the bench press as he cradled him in his arms. He nuzzled his hair and held him closely, pressing a soft kiss between his brows.
Cas buried his face in Sorin's shoulder, trembling ever so slightly. "I-I'm sorry, love… you… you were right…"
"You don't need to be sorry…" Sorin pressed another kiss on his skin. "But are you all right though?"
"Yeah, m'alright… just spooked myself is all." He sighed softly, starting to relax.
"Are you sure?" Sorin asked as he propped him up on his lap.
