“There’s like a licorice, a gingerbread cookie, the same ones as there are on some of the spaces of the board. If you get one of those you have to go to that spot, whether it’s moving forwards or backwards.” She picked up another card and moved.
(I gtg to bed. Good night!)
He nodded. "Oh, okay." he moved as well, setting the used card aside as he studied the board.
(night!)
“Yeah,” Allie said. “My favorite was the ice cream princess. Actually, maybe she’s the frosting princess. Either way, she’s near the end of the board, so I was always excited to pull her symbol.”
Logan laughed softly, and nodded. "Alright." He replied, taking his turn and watching the board curiously.
Allie got the licorice card, causing her to move several spaces forward. “HaHA!” she exclaimed triumphantly.
Logan sighed. "Damn." He muttered. He looked at her inquisitively. "Does play continue as normal, or does something else happen?" He asked.
“We just keep going like normal, I think.” She shrugged. “At least, that’s how I remember it.”
Logan nodded, and drew a card, moving his piece as needed. "Okay." He replied, sitting cross legged on the bed.
Allie got another plain colored card and moved, grinning because she was ahead of Logan. Playing Candyland made her think of a being a kid again, and Allie almost wanted to disappear in the feeling.
Logan wrinkled his nose at her, and made his next move. "You're going to win." He said, a touch grumpily.
She giggled and stuck out her tongue at him, teasing. “Of course I am. I’m the master at Candyland.”
He rolled his eyes. "Mm. I can tell." He replied, chuckling softly. "I think you just whip my ass at all games."
Allie laughed. “True,” she said, tilting her head to the side.
Logan looked over at her, smirking slightly. "Anyway…" he took his turn.
Allie smirked and then pulled the gingerbread symbol, causing her to have to move back near the beginning. Winning was fun while it lasted. She pouted. “Shit.”
Logan grinned. "Ha!" he exclaimed with a laugh, moving his piece forward.
“Ha,” Allie mocked him, still looking annoyed for a moment before she had to laugh at herself. She drew another card and moved forward.
(I gtg to bed now. Good night!)
Logan smirked at her, and drew his next card, moving forward again. He was still far ahead of Allie.
(night!)
Allie sighed before drawing another card and moving forward. The only way she could win now was if either Logan got the licorice guy or she got the frosting princess.
Logan grinned at her, and drew another card, moving forward. "Hah, I'm winning now." He teased.
“Not for long,” Allie vowed, noticing how close he was getting with trepidation. “I will beat you yet.” She drew another card and moved.
Logan grinned. "We'll see." He replied.
She frowned as she drew another normal card, still far behind him. He was getting close.
Logan smirked at her, and drew again, moving his piece forward. "Still sure you will win?" He asked.
Allie drew the frosting princess card. “Yes,” she said, showing him with a smirk. She was still behind him, but barely.
(help I'm going to open houses and the realtor for one of them is hooootttt helppp lol)
Logan groaned. "Damn." He muttered, raking a hand through his hair.
(oof i feel you lol)
Allie grinned. “I knew I’d beat you.” She blatantly ignored the fact she was still a few spaces behind him after she moved.
"Hey, you haven't beaten me yet!" He replied. "I'm still ahead of you!" He made another move.
“For now.” She moved again, not betraying that she was nervous about how close Logan was to finishing the game.
Logan drew again, and sighed softly as he moved forward, edging closer and closer to the finish line.
